Craignish Peninsula self-catering holiday cottages are located in and around a traditional village on the south coast of the peninsula facing Loch Craignish on the west coast of Scotland. The village has a small, but well stocked, general store, a tearoom, and a pub, which will supply many of the needs for a stay in a holiday home on the Craignish Peninsula; for larger shops and supermarkets you will need to go to Oban to the north or Lochgilphead to the south. Loch Craignish, close to Craignish Peninsula rental apartments, is a sea loch with several small islets that are waiting to be explored by boat from the many beaches.

Although small, just five and half miles long, Craignish Peninsula has a lot of history and interesting architecture to discover. At Kirkton, very close to a self-catering cottage on Craignish Peninsula you’ll find the remains of a 13th century chapel and close by is Craignish Castle which was originally the home of the Campbells of Craignish. There are also a number of ruined duns near to Craignish Peninsula holiday apartments, one of which, Dunan Aula is said to commemorate a Viking Prince who died in battle against the native Scots. If you fancy a trip to a large city then Glasgow is just over two hours by car from rental accommodation on the Craignish Peninsula, as well as the great shops, restaurants, galleries and museums the glorious scenery you drive through on the way there and back makes the journey more than worthwhile.

Weather
