Travel Guide of Zaragoza Province (Caspe, Aragon, Spain)

Zaragoza Province is one of Spain's oldest regions, so it's a fantastic place to stay when you want to unearth Spain's past. We have a range of holiday lettings in Zaragoza Province, with some in the region's capital of the same name, Zaragoza. The city is often overlooked in favour of Madrid and Barcelona, but it's equally rich in culture and heritage. The city's cathedral, the Seo del Salvador, is one particularly awe-inspiring site: it houses one of the most impressive altar-pieces in Spain, and its ornate ceilings are simply breathtaking.

Things to do in Zaragoza

When choosing holidays rentals in Zaragoza Province, consider a stay in the capital. One of the city's major festivals, El Pilar, takes place during October, and features a range of exciting concerts and performances. Of course, booking villas in Zaragoza Province is a great choice at any time of the year - the capital's old town is easily navigated on foot, but sightseeing buses cover the area's major sites of interest in just a day. Aragon also boasts the National Park of Ordesa and Monte Perdido, easily accessible from our holiday accommodation in Zaragoza Province. You'll find the third highest mountain in the Pyrenees here, from which you'll experience truly unparalleled panoramas.

Places to see in Zaragoza

If you want to explore outdoors, Monasterio de Piedra is a must-see site. A 12th century Cistercian monastery surrounded by a beautiful, natural park, it's located just a short distance from Zaragoza. Once you've taken a tour around the monastery itself, grab a map and start navigating your way through the forest: there are waterfalls around every corner, rushing into rippling streams surrounded by green oases. There are also daily bird of prey exhibitions at the monastery, which showcase owls, eagles and vultures.
