Set on the beautifully landscaped grounds of a traditional old Bajan home, this newly renovated self contained apartment is extremely spacious and securely gated with a lovely breezy private patio and features lush tropical gardens. The interior is tastefully furnished and has all amenities including air conditioned bedroom with comfortable antique queen bed and en-suite bathroom, wireless internet, fully outfitted full-size Sante Fe style kitchen, comprehensive cable TV package including all major networks, stereo, a library of novels for your reading pleasure, telephone, private parking and twice weekly maid service. A detailed information package regarding all local activities is also provided in the apartment to help you make the most of your holiday. We are also happy to assist with any rental car or tour bookings. This property has all the conveniences of home and comes with pretty much everything you will need for a most enjoyable stay in beautiful Barbados!

Notes on prices
Prices for the property per week/per night and are inclusive of all charges. Our terms are very reasonable - we require only a 15% deposit to reserve your dates with the balance due upon arrival - we are that confident that you will love Newstead Cottage! PayPal or bank wire transfer are both accepted as payment for deposits. All enquiries are answered with in 24 hours.

Changeover day is flexible where possible.

Bedrooms: The bedroom is very spacious and features a queen size bed with four pillows and premium linens, en suite bath, and has both air conditioning and fan for your comfort. All linens are included and changed twice-weekly. The bedroom also has a safe.
Bathrooms: En-suite bathroom with shower and WC. Soaps, toilet paper, room freshener and kleenex are all provided. 2 full sets of towels are provided as well as beach towels.
Kitchen: Kitchen includes breakfast bar, ceiling fan, gas stove, full size refrigerator/freezer, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, all kitchenware and utensils and even a few Bajan cookbooks! The kitchen is stocked with basics such as sugar, flour, tea, and coffee.
Utility Room: Laundry service is available upon request.
Living Rooms: Bright and spacious living room includes comfortable leather couches, teak furniture, cable TV package including all major networks, stereo and wireless internet with French doors leading out to the private patio and garden.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Housekeeping services are provided twice weekly at which time all linens/towels are changed. Beach towels are also provided.

 

Notes on accommodation
No smoking is allowed inside the apartment. Guests may smoke on the terrace if they wish. The bedroom is fully air conditioned. The apartment has both ceiling and standing fans, a safe for your passports and valuables and also an extensive library of novels for your reading pleasure!

Accessibility
The apartment is all on one floor, however there are a few steps up to the patio at the front entrance.

Outside
Set in beautifully landscaped tropical gardens, the covered private patio is lovely and breezy, and includes a table and chairs for outdoor dining and an additional 2 large lounging chairs. If you would like to entertain friends we are happy to provide extra chairs for the dining table!

Coast/Beach
This property is a few minutes walk to one of the most breathtaking beaches on the island, Accra beach. This South Coast beach is very popular, offering a combination of exciting waves and calm swimming. Relax on a chaise lounge or on the soft, wide stretch of white sand, under the shade of a casuarina or sea-grape tree, enjoy one of the many watersports activities such as snorkeling and boogie boarding or go for long walks on the brand new South Coast Boardwalk adjacent to this stunning beach.

Golf
Rockley golf course is a 5 min walk, the Barbados Golf Club is a 10 min drive. The island also boasts other world class golf courses such as the world famous Sandy Lane and Royal Westmoreland which are both within 20-25 minutes drive from the apartment.

Special interest holidays
For guests who are interested in learning how to surf, we can arrange surf lessons with one of Barbados' best surfers, Alan Burke which also includes boards and transportation.

Travel
The apartment is 15 minutes drive from Grantley Adams International Airport. Car hire is not necessary as this is a very centrally located property within walking distance of many amenities and frequent and affordable public transport. However, if you would like to tour around the island we are happy to recommend a reputable car hire company and there is ample private parking on the property.

Distances
The property is 4 kilometres (about 10-15 minute) drive to Bridgetown where you will find numerous historic sites and plenty of duty-free shopping. The famous St Lawrence Gap area is 5 minutes drive and is brimming with nightlife and entertainment. Both the Historic Garrison Area and the beautiful Graeme Hall Nature Sanctuary are only 5 mins away, while the town of Oistins is 10 mins away where you can relax and enjoy the extremely popular Friday Nite Fish Fry and enjoy a rum with the locals!

Further details
Your home away from home is within a few minutes walking distance to the South Coast main road which has everything you could possibly ask for including gorgeous beaches, seaside restaurants, bistro/cafes, banking, salons and shops. The coast road also has frequent public transport busses and vans to take you wherever you would like to go!
