The stay was 100% successful and we hope to visit again!!!I wouldn't hesitate recommending this type of accomodation to a family/couple who enjoys the best of quiet and lively nightlife all at the same time Louise and Eric's property made our visit one that is undoubtedly memorable, and my family appreciate the best holiday home ever!
For my hubby an I it does not get better than this. Louric is the place to be if you want to be relaxed, be in a beautiful surrounding enjoying the breezes off the ocean. If you like to hear traffic go by this is not the place for you.You are not far from the beaches and restaurants and Eric is always there (not in your face) to tell you about the local spots to try in the area. The place is very clean, safe, and everything works. It was fun to see the monkeys go by just outside the property and the garden is lovely.

Owner profile
Us at Bathsheba / And The Garden
About the owner
After having visited friends living in Barbados we found we were coming back to the Island more frequently so decided to build a house here. We moved here on a more permanent basis upon completion in 2005.
We used the local workforce to help build the property and many of these have now become our friends. So if you are in the village and mention you are staying with us, you are sure of a big welcome.
Having worked in the Building Trade all his working life, Eric keeps the property up to a very high standard and has now become a bit of a tourist guide for our guests.
Louise has worked in Local Government for over 24 years and was also a Magistrate in the UK.
We have 2 sons, a daughter in law and 2 grandchildren who enjoy coming to visit not only us but our beautiful Island.
Year purchased: 2005
Why the owner chose a home in this location
We chose this area because our friends live in St. Philip and having travelled around we realised that this particular site gave us several options. We have the wonderful views, excellent walks, the cool breeze, the beauty of being in the country where the air is fresh but with the ability to access the city and the tourist areas by car or by bus. The property is set on the South East of the Island and is very close to the area of Bathsheba where the scenery is not only beautiful but is a surfer's paradise. We also get the monkeys. Being here is like having our own secret part of the Island as it is only 20 minutes from the airport, peaceful, relaxing but close enough to all the tourists attractions to enable everyone to enjoy a holiday here. It caters to all tastes and age groups.
Unique benefits of the property
Modern, fully equipped property benefiting from dual power supply 110 and 240 current. Internet access is available so bring your laptops, you can check in online etc and spend more time on the beach. The village of Marley Vale is 5 minutes walk away enabling you to enjoy the company of the local community and be welcomed to join in their activities. There are two churches, a bar, a convenience store, direct bus route to Bridgetown, a cricket ground, two parks, wonderful views and beaches all within a few minutes of the property but also a feeling of solitude should you require it. Fishing, golf and surfing are all easily accessible and we can now claim Astronomy as an added bonus as two prominent Astronomers have been here and captured some great planetary activities.
