Kitchen: Open plan Italian style kitchen with views through dining room, lounge and patio to the Caribbean Sea. Large oven, ceramic hob, American fridge/freezer with ice and cold water on tap. Dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee maker, blender, etc.
Utility Room: Washer/dryer, iron and ironing board.
Living Rooms: Spacious open-plan lounge/dining room with ocean views. Cable TV and DVD/CD player and I-pod docking station. Wifi internet access for your own PC.
Other: Large patio with table and chairs plus two recliners, overlooking gardens, with a few steps down to the delightful secluded sandy cove and the Caribbean Sea. Canvas fold-up chairs are provided for beach use.

Ideal for children - pool not supervised. Gardens giving direct access to delightful secluded sandy beach. Sun loungers provided for garden and poolside, with folding chairs provided for use on the beach. Secure parking at front of property.

Coast/Beach
Small secluded sandy beach with direct access from the garden. Frequented by turtles from June to November - guests were lucky enough to witness several egg-layings and hatchings in 2010. Adjacent to Mistle Cove, just a short stroll along the Gap, is the 600 metre long Dover Beach, with safe bathing for all ages.

Golf
Several golf courses within easy reach of property.

Travel
Mistle Cove is 15 minute taxi ride from airport. A number of airlines fly daily to Barbados - midweek flights are often cheaper and less crowded. Numerous car hire companies available on the island.

Distances
Approximately 15 minutes by taxi from airport. Approximately 4 miles to the capital, Bridgetown for Duty Free shopping.
Excellent bus service to all parts of the island.

Convenience store open 8am until 10pm next door. Internet cafe opposite. Supermarket and bank nearby. Superb choice of restaurants all within short walking distance.

Owner profile


About the owner
The three generations of the Warrilow family all live in the Epsom area, in Surrey, England. Nigel is finance director at specialist Audio-Visual and Videoconferencing contractor, Focus 21 Visual Communications Ltd, based in Surrey. Nigel's parents, Gill and Derek have been regular visitors to Barbados since they did a house swap in 1977 with a Barbadian family who they have been friends with ever since and Nigel and Sarah also became regular visitors following our honeymoon on the island in 1991. One thing special to us is our now traditional 'rumsets'. Started by Gill and Derek as they toasted the stunning sunsets on Mistle Cove beach with their rum and cokes, it is a tradition we hope you'll try during your stay and look out for baby turtles hatching on Mistle Cove beach too!

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
The wonderful weather, sandy beaches and friendly locals all provide an excellent start to a relaxing holiday. The island is only 21 miles by 14 miles and so is small by some standards, but this just means it's very easy to get around. With fantastic rum distillery tours, the tour round St Nicholas Abbey, the fabulous Harrison's Caves and our favourite catamaran trips to swim with the turtles, duty free shopping in Bridgetown and excellent supermarkets, restaurants and bars, regular sightings of Barbados Green Monkeys, baby turtle hatchings, peaceful hummings birds and tiny tree frogs, this island can be as loud or as quiet as you want.

Unique benefits of the property
Set back from the road on the very popular 'Gap' the apartment's quiet beach-side location is enhanced by the quality of the furnishings and standard of finish. With a gated entrance and private car park, security is built-in. Surrounded by good restaurants, mini-marts and nightlife, most things you'll need are within walking distance. If not, then buses and taxis are readily at hand. Bridgetown is 20 mins drive away, and there is a bigger supermarket 5 mins drive away. Dover Beach is less than 50m but if you don't want to walk, our own small secluded beach is directly in front of our apartment; we even provide beach towels!
