The property is less than 10 mins drive from the city of Bridgetown and is situated on the luxurious West Coast where many of the famous film stars, entertainment celebrities, prime ministers and presidents reside when they visit the island. Two of the islands premier golf courses at Sandy Lane and Royal West Moreland are also closeby. Coast/Beach
The nearest beach in in Fitts village and is a mere 6 min walk from Costa Vista. paynes bay is 5 mins by car and provides all the water sports, snorkeling is great and you will get an opportunity to swim with wild ocean turtles.

Golf
Close to Sandy lane and Westmorland golf courses, both courses approx 10 mins away.

Travel
Grantley Adams International airport is a 30 minute drive from Costa Vista.

Distances
Fitts village is 500 yards away, while Hole Town is a 7 min drive. The capital Bridgetown is 10 mins by car.

Further details
There is a local supermarket at the bottom of the hill called ‘Jordans’ for more choice try the Sunset Crest Plaza in Hole Town. You can buy just about everything that you can in England. There is a good selection of fresh meat, fruit and vegetables and for fish, the fish market in Bridgetown is highly recommended. There is an even larger supermarket at ‘Warrens’ approx 3 miles away. In Bridgetown there are more shops and a very good ‘Cave Shepherd’ department store. This company has small outlets at both the Sunset shopping malls. In order to ensure you gain the benefits of tax free shopping which has a massive saving you must carry your white immigration card with you, to be handed over when you pay. All tax free items can be taken with you with the exception of alcohol and tobacco, which must be collected at the airport on your departure. Jewellery can be found in ‘Colombian Emeralds’and ‘Diamonds International’ they are very good value in comparison to UK prices. The local currency is the Barbadian dollar and the exchange rate varies from about $3 to $3.8 to £1 sterling. The US dollar is also used at $2 Bds to $1 US. There are several banks locally. All banks will change cash and travellers cheques. Cash machines (ATM’S) can be found outside all of the banks and it is very easy to obtain cash at any time of the day. All major credit cards are accepted in shops and restaurants. Local calls from the apartment are free, international calls are barred. The most cost effective way to make international calls is to buy a local pay as you go SIM card for your mobile phone. Don’t forget to ensure that your mobile is not blocked before leaving home. There are lots of places to see and include Welch Man Hall Gully, Andromeda Gardens, The Flower Forest, Harrisons Cave and Tyrol Cots Heritage Village this is the former home of Sir Grantley Adams who was the first Prime Minister of Barbados. Other places to visit are the Animal Flower Cave.
