Shimmerings is a luxurious 3 bedroom villa situated just minutes walk from the clubhouse, swimming pool and air conditioned gym. The accommodation is luxuriously furnished with an elegant sitting room, light and airy dining room, well equipped kitchen, cool courtyard and a sunny deck with beautiful sea views. The 3 bedrooms are air conditioned, well appointed and all have full ensuite facilities. The Villa is 5 minutes drive from the nearest beach and nearby Holetown on the west coast is home to a large supermarket and numerours bars and restaurants. Westmoreland's golfing facilities are stunning and for non-golfers there is tennis, swimming or simply relaxing in the beautiful Barbados sun.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds sleeping up to 6 people. All prices are subject to an additional 7.5% vat.
Part weeks will be considered and will be charged on a pro-rata basis. Special rates may be agreed for stays of over 3 weeks.
Changeover day
Changeover days can be flexible. If we have guests leaving and arriving on the same day we ask departing guests to vacate the main Villa by 11.00am. Storing luggage and showering in the Cottage up to 3.30 pm will usually be possibe by prior arrangement.

Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service: |
The housekeeper will be available 5 days per week and will take care of guests laundry and cleaning the villa. Bath towels, beach towels and linen are included and will be changed twice per week. |

The Royal Westmoreland Golf resort is a secure gated community located in the hills above Holetown on the West Coast. The Villa is approximately 45 minutes drive from the airport.

Outside
Shimmerings is set within luxuriously landscpaed gardens overlooking the clubhouse, golf course and sea beyond. There is a shared pool located within a couple minutes walk from the villa and this as also the location of the fully equipped and air conditioned gym. There are newly resurfaced tennis courts with floodlighting that can be hired.
Coast/Beach
The Villa is situated a short drive from many of the west coasts beautiful beaches. The Royal Westmoreland Beach Club is located at Mullins 5-10 minutes drive from the Villa and is exclusively for Royal Westmoreland owners/renters. It features reserved car parking, a safe swim area, beach shower, private toilet, complimentary towel, luxury sun beds, umbrellas, and on-beach service for drinks, food and refreshing cold towels.
Golf
Golfing at Royal Westmoreland is for the exclusive use of villa owners, their guests and villa renters. The Robert Trent Jones designed course is a stunning and challenging 18-hole course in the most wonderful Caribbean setting. Villa renters enjoy concessionary rates and further details of golfing prices can be found on the Royal Westmoreland website royal-westmoreland.com.
Travel
The Grantley Adams International airport is around 40 minutes drive away. Car rentals are readily available and arrangements can easily be made for a hire car to be delivered and collected from the villa.
Distances
Supermarket shopping and bank access is available 5 minutes drive away in Holetown. Beautiful beaches, excellent dining and beachside bars are all available within a short drive.

Other Royal Westmoreland Beach and Spa Facilities. Royal Westmoreland's Mullins Beach Bar. The restaurant/Bar located at the beach facility is open to the public and is fast paced and busy, with good music and a real Caribbean atmosphere - it's where all elements of the island come together to enjoy the drink and food on offer. The view from the dining area is to die for! Reservations are needed for tables from December to April and July to August.
Indulgence Spa by Royal Westmoreland. Situated just over the road from Mullins Beach is Indulgence Spa by Royal Westmoreland. Open to the public, it has 5 therapy rooms, a nail studio, a fresh water pool to wash away the beach, private changing rooms, an air-conditioned lounge to relax and cool off in, and the Spa Café for a quiet healthy.
Booking notes
Bookings should be made direct with the owners. An initial deposit will be taken with the full balance due 10 weeks before the rental date. Arrangements for meeting guests will be handled by our agents in Barbados and airport transfers and car hire can be discussed at time of booking.

I just wanted to let you know that we are having the most wonderful time here. The villa works incredibly well and Leanne is a treasure.
The golf is to die for, especially as I clocked up my best ever round today with a whopping 43 stableford points (on this basis I may well decide never to return to the UK!)

Although we've holidayed on the island many times, including our honeymoon 12 years ago, we've never self catered before….and having stayed at your villa, I don't know that we'll ever return to hotel life when we're in Barbados. Even a very hard-to-please sixteen year old thought it was "really wicked".
Leanne is a very sweet girl and just quietly looked after us. She is quite a find - I could do with someone like her at home! I very much hope we can return to the villa again.
