Bedrooms: The air-conditioned bedroom has a queen size bed with side cabinets, a large wardrobe and a ceiling fan.
Bathrooms: The luxury bathroom has a fully tiled walk-in shower with glass door, low level WC and vanity unit with feature bowl.
Kitchen: The fully equipped fitted kitchen has granite worktops with Bosch appliances (electric oven with ceramic hob, dishwasher, washer/drier, microwave and fridge freezer).
Living Rooms: The comfortable air-conditioned living area includes an armchair, large sofa bed, coffee table, satellite TV, DVD player (with selection of DVDs) CD player with ipod docking station and ceiling fan. The dining area has a feature glass table and seats 4.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
All bed linens, towels and beach towels are included in the price and are changed once a week (or more frequently by prior arrangement) when the apartment is also fully cleaned.

Accessibility
The property is situated on the ground floor and is therefore suitable for people with mobility problems.

Outside
There are two patio chairs and a table together with two sunbeds for dining or relaxing outside. The property features a waterfall-fed communal pool and plunge pool together with well kept tropical gardens. There are also two beach chairs which you are free to use.

Coast/Beach
The closest beach is Accra (Rockley) which is a 5 minute drive or a 25 minute walk. From here you can also take the boardwalk along the shoreline. St Lawrence Gap and Dover Beach are a 10 minute drive away. The apartment is also ideally situated to explore all beaches on the island.

Golf
The property is adjacent to Rockley Golf and Country Club (Par 70 5610 yard course) Other courses include the Barbados Golf Club (Par 72 championship 6805 yard course) and Royal Westmoreland (choose from 3 courses here).

Travel
A car is recommended but is not essential as there are plenty of buses and taxis available nearby. The nearest bus stop is a 10 minute walk away and regular bus services around the island operate from here (number 9 or number 11). Bridgetown is a 15 minute drive and the Airport is a 20 minute drive away.

Distances
While enjoying the serenity of a quiet location, the apartment is close to the beaches, shops, restaurants and other entertainment in the Hastings, Worthing and St. Lawrence areas on the south coast. There are plenty of restaurants within easy reach to suit all tastes and budgets. The apartment also adjacent to Barbados' Rockley Resort which offers a golf course and tennis courts. It is an ideal location about two miles from Bridgetown and is within easy reach of the airport.

Barbados is the eastern most of the Caribbean Islands and measures a compact 21 miles by 14 miles. Flat, coastal plains rise to an area of rolling hills in the northern centre of the island. The scenery is stunning as you move from fields of sugar cane, to gullies full of indigenous tropical foliage. Palm trees abound and forests clamber up hillsides; there are acres of banana trees and flowers bloom in a myriad of exotic colours. Then, of course, there are the beaches...clear, warm waters lap gently onto golden sands and you can walk for many miles along unbroken white sand, or discover more private sandy bays nestling into some of the larger cliff formations. Whether you want to swim, surf, soak or play, you’ll find everything you need on Barbados’ beautiful coastline. Today, Barbados still manages to combine contemporary, modern day life with traditional Bajan values – the people are welcoming, fun-loving, creative and vibrant.

Booking notes
A non refundable deposit of 25% is required to secure the booking. The balance is payable 45 days before arrival. A refundable breakage / damage deposit of £200 is required with the final payment.The minimum stay is 1 week. In the event of cancellation more than 4 weeks prior to arrival, a full refund will be granted for all funds over and above the 25% deposit. A 50% refund will apply if a booking is cancelled within 4 weeks of arrival. Early departures will not be refunded.

About the owner
We live in Surrey with our two children. I am a Chartered Surveyor and Suzanne is a nurse. We are long-time visitors to Barbados and always look forward to our family Christmas break in the sun.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We love some peace and quiet on holiday, plenty of time spent swimming in the pool and sitting in the gardens or on the beach. Our apartment was completed two years ago and is in a very tranquil location in a highly regarded residential area, overlooking Rockley Golf Course, but of course not far from a good selection of restaurants and bars. We and the children also enjoy all the beach activities that Barbados offers and the apartment is perfectly located to make the most of everything that this wonderful island has to offer.
