If you are looking for a perfect house to relax and enjoy Barbados, Woodside has what you are looking for, with cool breezes and sea views, air conditioning to all bedrooms, large open plan lounge and 180ft fenced gardens, your holiday can be relaxed and chilled in true Bajan style. We have incorporated the annex into the main house for extra "chill out space". There are fitted security grilles on all doors and most windows. Mullins (Suga Suga) beach is 3-4 minute drive away, Schooner Bay is a 10 minute stroll, set on a wonderful secluded beach. The local fast food restaurants, Chefette (bajan McDonalds) and KFC can be found in historic Speightstown town centre, is less than 10 minutes walk, along with the Fishermans Bar, Mango's restaurant, a nice little coffee shop and ice cream parlour which sells every flavour you can think of. If you want a holiday where you can get to know the locals, then Woodside is ideal for you, the neighbours are local friendly, helpful people!

Notes on accommodation
Woodside is spacious, inside and outside. The position of Woodside commands wonderful sea views, and sea breezes. Set in a village location, you will get to know the real Barbados while relaxing with that well earned cocktail on one of the 3 balconies !
Woodside is a smoke free zone. We have plenty of space outside for smokers - even on a rainy day.

Outside
Woodside is situated on a generous plot of 11k square foot of land, which backs onto a forest of lush plants and trees, with the odd monkey feeding on the mangoes in the early morning.
The covered patio extends out 4 meters x 15, equipped with sunloungers, a dining table and BBQ, guest can relax throughout the hot days and cool nights, while enjoying the north breezes and a good book.
Coast/Beach
Superb quiet local beaches 10 mins stroll away. Schooner Bay, Port St.Charles beaches, are a all 10 to 20 minutes stroll.
Golf
Almond Beach 9 hole course, is less than 5 mins drive away. The wonderful Westmorland course is also 15 mins drive. Golf players please note, you cannot generally play at Royal Westmoreland or Sandy Lane. The Barbados Golf club is approx 30 minutes drive from Speightstown, where a round of golf can be booked in advance.
Travel
Bridgetown airport 40 mins drive. Car hire recommended but not essential as taxis and buses are excellent.

Speightstown town centre a 10 minute walk.
Further details
Speightstown, is a vibrant local shopping area which has 4 banks, KFC, Cheffette, the famous Fishermans Pub, and Mango's By The Sea restaurant. A nice little coffee shop and a host of local fresh fruit and veg traders line the high street. Speightstown also has one of the best Fresh Fish markets, boasting a large selection of Tuna, Marlin, Flying Fish Shark etc. The ice cream parlour is outstanding, along with a local bakery, Speightstown is worth skipping the busy Bridgetown for. A new Museum, Arlington house opened in Jan 08.
There are 3 banks in Speightstown, but beware of the long wait! Recent storms have changed some of the beaches. Royal Westmoreland (was Mullins/Suga Suga) has virtually no beach left, so we recommend Gibbs or Paynes Bay.
Booking notes
25% deposit is required to secure your booking. Balance due 30 days before booking date.
There is also a returnable deposit of £200 to cover breakages/damage to Woodside.
