Sandals Regency Golf Resort & Spa at La Toc. Sandals St. Lucia Golf Resort & Spa is the most glamorous all-inclusive ever. Rarely will you enjoy a resort as sophisticated and elegant because no detail has been spared to bring you luxury in the grandest style. Considered the emerald of the Caribbean, this impressive resort is situated on 155 lush acres fronting a half-mile of crescent-shaped, white-sand beach.

Jalousie Hilton Resort & Spa. The Jalousie Hilton’s Executive par three golf course is unique to the Caribbean. Ideally located in a tropical forest, near the Petit Piton, with views of Jalousie Bay and the Gros Piton Mounta

Special interest holidays
The island is 238sq (616sqkm), 27 miles long, 14 miles wide with a combination of high mountains, forests, low lying lands and beaches. A central mountain range runs the length of the island, with peaks ranging between 1000 and 3145 feet. Forests dominate the mountains, while jasmine, scarlet chenille and wild orchids provide splashes of colour to the lush green slopes. The two towering volcanic cones on the southwest coast, Gros Piton (797m) and Petit Piton (750m) are one of the Caribbean’s most famous landmarks. The volcanic origin of the island provides visitors with an opportunity to visit a “drive-in volcano” and dip in the reputedly therapeutic Sulphur springs. Scuba Diving/Sailing superb.

Guest comments
St Lucia is a beautiful tropical island. I have wanted to go to St Lucia since I did a project on it at the age of 10. I wasn't disappointed. Lush green surrounded by blues and greens and beautiful beaches to top it off. What more do you need? North Island seems to be more select area, on the whole. Roads need to be treated like a work in progress, but local taxi-drivers know them well and make it as smooth as possible!! Go to Pigeon Island and have a helicopter tour (amazing way to see the Pitons!!). It was nice to do the land and sea tour, too. We saw all the fishing villages and well as seeing the island from the sea on a catamaran. Stuart & Angie. Aug 2008

The Island is beautiful, the sea perfect. Go to Pigeon Island for an afternoon wander around. The Jalousie Plantation in the South set among the Pitons is magnificent. Take a bath in one of the streams and apply the warm volcanic mud all over your body and then rinse it off under a waterfall.
