Whitewood Drive is a new three bedroom villa, finished to a highest standards with large open plan ground floor leading onto its own private patio and swimming pool. No 1 is part of a new complex located on the beautiful West Coast of Barbados, (about 2 miles north of Holetown) referred to as the 'Platinum Coast' which is well justified. The villa is a five minute drive from Mullins Beach. For golfers its also less than 5 minutes drive to Sandy Lane and Royal Westmoreland (the new course under construction at Apes Hill is also only 3 to 4 minutes away). For those who wish to relax why not stay at home and use your own private swimming pool with sun-deck and barbeque. The property also has its own private barbecue area for guests use. For the more active there are golf clubs and pedal-bikes on site. The property has a fully equipped kitchen with granite work surfaces. The development has been designed and built to a very high standard and is tastefully and fully landscaped.

Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds.
One great value price throughout the year. On booking we require 20% deposit.
Full payment within 12 weeks of arrival at the property. The 20% booking fee due on confirmation of the booking. The balance will need to be paid 12 weeks before arrival.
Extra day rate of £110 per day.

Kitchen: Beautiful kitchen, granite work surfaces, hob, fridge/freezer, oven. See main picture of the kitchen looking into the lounge area, beautifully designed layout. A top of the range mixer/blender, is available together with professional cookware. BOSE system
Utility Room: Washing machine, tumble dryer, iron/ironing board and rotary line (outside).
The kitchen area also has ipod and iphone music docking system.
Living Rooms: Open plan living/dining, Plasma TV with satellite, Wii, DVD player (multi-regional). Hi speed internet access and phone. Two leather sofas (one two and a three), dining table, chairs and breakfast bar. Door leading to patio area, swimming pool and garden.
Other: There are also 1 double spare blow-up mattresses for extra guests.There is also a safe for personal belongings. Children's high chair and cot available. The property is fully alarmed and there is a safe. BOSE radio and CD is in the open plan living/dining
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
All bedlinen and bathroom towels are provided but guests are asked to bring their own towels for use on the beach. Property is cleaned once a week when all linen/towels will be washed and changed. More frequent cleaning can be arranged.

Notes on accommodation
Children are most welcome. There is a brand new travel cot and brand new high chair available at the property. However, it should be noted for insurance purposes that children under the age of 12 should not be left on there own to use the swimming pool. The property has its own private drive can fit several cars. The property is situated on a private residential estate been constructed to a very high standard and in the evening there is subtle lighting to enhance the look of the property. The property also has fitted 210v and 110v electric sockets in kitchen and master bedroom. For those wishing to bring ipods, UK dryers etc.

Accessibility
I am afraid the property has not been adapted for wheelchair users to the pool area.

Outside
The pool is on a private dwelling. The pool area is cool decked, which means it does not get to hot to stand upon (it stays cool) which is great for the kids. There is a front and back veranda and ceiling fan. Private patio with pool area with outside shower. The property has its own gardens and there is our own barbecue area for use of the guests. The pool area has a table and chairs for outside dining for 8 people. There are 6 sun beds at our property. The house is on a semi-gated community and benefits from a communal green, garden and childrens play area which is maintained by the community.

Coast/Beach
The villa is a five minute drive from Mullins Beach. Generally the seas on the West coast are the calmest, but good, safe, quiet swimming is available in the many tranquil bays along the South West and the South that touch the Caribbean Sea. If you like calm waters with a soft sandy bottom, then the West Coast is probably the best of these conditions, but seasonal variations can cause things to change.

Golf
Royal Westmoreland Golf Club and Sandy Lane Golf Course are very close to the property and are about 4 miles away. Apes Hill is now under construction and is 3-4 minutes away from the property.

Travel
Travel time from the airport is about 30-40 mins depending on traffic. It is located on highway 2 above Mullins Beach. Barbados is the most easterly of the Caribbean islands. The island is 34km (21 miles) long N–S and 23km (14 miles) wide E–W, with an area of 430sq.km (166 sq miles) and a total coastline of 97 km (60 miles). It's friendly, fun and safe.

Distances
5 minutes away there is a small shopping centre on the main road, with a supermarket, internet kiosk, bank and other services (doctors etc). Opposite is the police station, post office and a small museum. There’s access to the beach between the police station and the Sunswept Hotel. There is a restaurant there that is called Surf Side, which is has wonderful breakfasts, lunch and dinner. On a Sunday night they have a steel band and its well worth getting there early for a seat and meal.

Further details
Holetown is only a short distance from Bakers Wood, (about 2 miles away). Most things you need will be found in Holetown, supermarkets, banks, shops, restaurants and bars. There is a very comprehensive guide manual at the property which contains i.e. contact addresses, local doctors, dentists (should you need one). Together with out and about in Barbados which will point you in the right direction to Beaches to visit, bars, restaurants, golf, tennis and points of local interest. Things to do whilst in Barbados. Together with maps on getting around this beautiful island. Every party to rent the property will of course receive a copy of the manual before departure. Together with a contract.

We are a group of 4 that own the property 2 cousins and their wifes.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We had the property built and completed by November 2007. It took 3 years to build. We loved the location and we loved the island, whilst on holiday we purchased the plot because, it's in a perfect spot and lovely area and the four of us decided within 2 days of flying home to purchase the land and build. Together with the fact that the people of Barbados are brilliant and we have meet and made some wonderful friends on the island.

Unique benefits of the property
It's home from home and has most things that you would find in your own home, wii, bose system, TV, double cooker, barbeque (and in it's own area), very comfortable beds (Feather and Black), Three double wardrobes in master room, and two double wardrobes in the two other bed rooms. American washer and dryer. It's own pool installed and built by our builder in our own grounds, which means its for our soul use. It's not far to Mullins beach and the new Lime centre and Holetown.
