Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds. Our mission at Spring House is for you, your family and friends to have a holiday that best suits both your needs and your budget. For some, this means a basic, self-catering, villa rental package with limited services. For others, it means an all-inclusive package with every need and desire taken care of from the moment you step off your flight. Our two rate plans reflect these extremes. To extent practicable, we can add or subtract items.

Notes on accommodation
Spring House’s distinctive architectural style offers a quiet, sophisticated charm and elegance. With over 10,000 sq.ft/1000sq.m of space, members of a family or group can enjoy sharing a private villa without living in each other's pockets all the time. It is furnished to the highest level, including the use of many locally hand-crafted pieces. As well as all the usual conveniences one would expect, we have discreetly included modern technologies such as ultra-quiet air-conditioning, plasma TVs, iPod docking stations and hairdryers. For the All inclusive plan we offer a full laundry service. Often called 'the magic hamper', you simply deposit your laundry and our laundress will wash, iron and return to your closet any laundry that you leave in the laundry basket each day.

Accessibility
Disabled access and child friendly. Make this a true vacation for everyone and forget about food shopping, lugging groceries to the house, preparing, serving and cleaning up. Let us do all this for you, while you get on with the more important things, like having the holiday of a lifetime.

Set in two acres of private grounds, Spring House is situated on the Spring Estate, just above the Firefly Bequia Hotel. Its quiet hill-top location benefits from cooling trade winds and stunning views of the coconut plantations, Spring Bay and the islands beyond. The hustle and bustle of the main harbour and yachting centre. Built and furnished by local craftsmen, featuring local artists’ original work, and managed by a professionally trained chef and hotel manager, Spring House caters for up to 14 guests; guests who are accustomed to the finest vacation experience and who value the sanctity of their own private home away from home.
Private swimming pool (40ft/12.2m), gazebo and pool bar including fully stocked beverage cooler, Barbecue, table-tennis table, secluded garden patios, basketball and badminton court. Tennis court nearby.

Coast/Beach
Three minutes to the nearest beaches. Beaches of Bequia are white sand, some are secluded, all are clean and uncrowded. The waters are perfect for swimming, snorkeling, sailing, diving - any water sport you can think of. From Spring House, it’s a short walk or ride down the hill to Spring Bay Beach where you will be almost guaranteed to have the beach all to yourself. Few minutes further along the coast will bring you to Crescent Beach at Industry Bay, short drive to many more beaches on Bequi.

Special interest holidays
We are actively seeking guests who wish to participate in special interest holidays. At this time we are considering a yoga retreat, learning to paint, diving, hiking (including the active volcano Mt. Soufriere) and photography holidays. Please let us know your ideas and interests.

Travel
Bequia island can be reached from Europe, the USA, and Canada via one of six Caribbean gateways: Barbados, St Lucia, Martinique, Grenada, Puerto Rico and Trinidad. Barbados provides more daily connecting flights to Bequia and St Vincent than any other gateway airport. From the UK, Europe or North America, you might find it easiest to take a direct or connecting flight to Barbados, and then a connection by air for the 45 minute flight to Bequia.

Spring House is situated on the Spring Estate, just above the Firefly Bequia Hotel. Its quiet hill-top location benefits from cooling trade winds and stunning views of the coconut plantations, Spring Bay and the islands beyond. The hustle and bustle of the main harbour and yachting centre, Port Elizabeth, is just six minutes away and offers a wide variety of shops, bars, restaurants and activities.

Further details
The island nation of St Vincent and the Grenadines comprises thirty-two separate islands and is located in this group, 100 miles/161km west of Barbados, 21 miles/34km south of St Lucia and 60 miles/97km north of Grenada. The main islands are Bequia, Canouan, Mustique, Palm Island, Petit St Vincent, Mayreau, Isle D’Quatre and Union Island. All the Grenadines have soft white coral sand beaches and clear waters, ideal for snorkelling and diving and provide the best sailing waters in the Western Hemisphere and arguably the world. Bequia, the second largest island, lies 9 miles/14.5km southwest of St Vincent. It is about 5 miles/8km long and 0.5 miles/0.8km wide and looks quite different from St Vincent, having rounded hills rather than mountains. There is a large difference between the coastlines on either side of the island: the windward (west) side is very rocky, while the leeward (east) side has many bays, most of them having white sand beaches. Bequia remains one of the most unspoilt and natural of all the Caribbean islands with a population that numbers just under 5,000. The island was once a busy center for whaling and boat building and Bequia still retains its traditions and skills based on the sea. Sailors have long known Bequia as one of the premier sailing and cruising destinations of the Grenadines and the Eastern Caribbean. The superb anchorages, coupled with the traditional nautical lifestyle, attract yachts of every size and description from around the world. The sailing season culminates in the annual Easter Regatta. Bequia is one of the last Caribbean islands to retain its old-world charm. Not for us the mega-tourist resorts, high-rise hotels, timeshares, shopping malls, fast food restaurants, high crime rates or crowds. Bequia still retains its 1960’s flavour and small island friendliness. There isn't’t any traffic lights or no-parking signs. The beaches are really empty like you see in the travel brochures.

Booking notes
Payment policy. At the time of booking - 25% deposit. Not less than 60 days before arrival date - 25% deposit. Not less than 30 days before arrival date - 50% balance, credit cards - Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express cards accepted. All charges are billed in US Dollars, and will show 'Spring House Bequia Inc.' on your statement. Wire transfer details are supplied on request. We recommend travel insurance in case of cancellation or flight delays and changes.
