This is one of 4 exclusive, luxury 2 bedroom apartments on a select development. Set in landscaped gardens it boasts a large pool, sundeck, and large canopied shade area. There's plenty of loungers so no need to put your towel out. The master bedroom is en-suite and the second bedroom a family bathroom. Spacious accommodation and 25ft veranda that stretches across the front elevation with steps directly to the pool (there is a gate for child safety) Veranda includes loungers, table/chairs and BBQ. Jolly Harbour Marina and Resort is approx 7/8 minutes walk across the road where you will find the largest and finest Marina in the Caribbean, 18 hole golf course, shops, restaurants, bars and a large supermarket. Car hire is recommended. Sugar Ridge development offers holiday memberships to their health club at reasonable rates.

Changeover day

If you have a later flight we can usually allow you to stay in the apartment until you are ready to leave and if not available we can ususally find somewhere on site for your party until you leave.

Notes on accommodation
Full air-conditioning and ceiling fans in living area and in both bedrooms. This large apartment benefits from easy access to all public transport routes. There is a bus stop directly outside the site into the capital St Johns and from there to anywhere on the island. Suitable for children, and people with limited mobility. Sorry, no smoking apartment but there is plenty of room outside. No pets please. A child's cot and high chair are available on request.
Accessibility
The apartment is accessed by only four small steps on entry with rails either side. It is all on one level with tiled floors and would easily suit someone with limited mobility. Please ask for further details if you are interested in renting the apartment.
Outside
The extensive landscaped gardens feature a 28 x 14 ft swimming pool and sundecks with loungers and canopied shade area. The pool is exclusive to the 4 apartments. At the rear of the apartment block there is a washing line for you to dry your personal laundry (pegs provided). There is ample parking for you on site if you hire a car. The grounds are lit at night with security lighting. The pool is also lit at night for your safety.
Coast/Beach
The apartment is within walking distance of one of the finest beaches in the world. There are 3/4 further stunning beaches nearby. Antigua is renowned for its 365 beaches and Hamilton House is on the Caribbean Sea side of Antigua affording you the best beaches for your holiday. Sugar Ridge adjacent is now completed offering more facilities including shops, restaurants, Health Club. Holiday membership is available at very reasonable rates. Eating at their restaurants does not require membership.
Golf
A fine 18 hole golf course is available within 15 minutes walk. All equipment is available for hire including a golf buggy.
Travel
VC Bird International, near St Johns, 20 minutes drive. Return transfers to and from the airport are included in the price. However, if you prefer to hire a car we can recommend a firm that offers very reasonable rates. We do recommend you hire a car so that you can get out and about easily and stock up on your groceries.
Distances
15 minutes to the capital, St Johns by car. Nearest beach is within walking distance and was recently voted one of the top ten beaches in the world. Jolly Harbour Marina, Commercial Centre and Resort is also within walking distance. Boat trips, island trips, safari, rain forest canopy adventure, diving, snorkeling, pirate ship excursion and more can all be booked at Jolly Harbour or with our Agent Yasmin.

Our agent, Yasmin, will meet and greet you on your arrival at the apartment. If you want details of, or to book an excursion, she can do this for you and is available at the end of a telephone should you need any help or advice. There is a telephone in the apartment for your use (pay as you go mobile - top ups at Jolly Harbour). Jolly Harbour in the evening provides entertainment, bars and restaurants. There is an 18 hole golf course close by where you can hire any equipment you may need (Golf cart recommended). Within the resort there is a local bank, pharmacy (with English newspapers), art shop and internet cafe. Antigua, like the rest of the Caribbean is cricket mad. The season runs from February to July and the island boasts a brand new ground, the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium. The old ground, (The Recreation Ground) is in the centre of the capital, St Johns and both are well worth a visit. The island is quite small, only being 14 miles by 11 miles but it also has a third cricket ground called the Sticky Wicket situated within the airport complex. You will see this when you arrive at the airport. Sticky Wicket has a fine restaurant and bar. On your return home you can check your bags in at the departure desk and walk over to the Sticky Wicket to wait for your plane.
Other attractions include English and Falmouth Harbours, Nelsons Dockyard a World Heritage Site, Shirley Heights - Sunday nights steel bands, live reggae music, barbecue and the most amazing sunset you will ever see. Betty's Hope sugar plantation. Many boat trips including a day trip to Barbuda (Frigate Bird colony) and many other trips. Helicopter trip over Montserrat's active volcano and over the island. Diving, sailing, snorkeling, horse riding, fishing, kite and wind surfing. Rain forest canopy adventure - glide through the tree canopy on a wire in Antiguas rain forest. Adrenalin adventure. Cheap transfer flights to other Caribbean Islands.
Booking notes
A booking deposit of 20% of the total rental price is payable when returning the booking form to us. The balance is due 60 days before arrival. A full copy of our booking terms and conditions will be sent to you with the booking form. You will also be required to send a £200 holding cheque against any damage/breakages during your stay with us. The £200 will be refunded in full if there is no damage. We had a fabulous time in Antigua, loved the island, beaches were amazing, the sea was really that blue! The apartment was wonderful, very clean and really well equipped. Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We bought our place in Antigua following a caribbean cruise when we fell in love with Antgua. It is steeped in English history dating back to Nelson, must see Nelsons Dockyard. Jolly Harbour is the premier region of Antigua famous for its beautiful white sandy beaches of which there are many in the immediate area. It is situated on the South West of the island on the caribbean sea, white sandy beaches and beautiful turquoise seas.
Driving is easy on the island should you decide to hire a car as they drive on the same side of the road as England and as the island is only 14 miles x 11 miles if you get lost it doesn't matter because you will eventually reach your detsination. Once there you will love it as much as we do.

The apartments share a large 28 x 14ft pool with a large sundeck for the sun lovers and a canopied shaded area for those who prefer shade. It is set in half an acre of landscaped gardens.
Fully furnished to a very high standard it includes just about everything you have back home. Towels (inc beach), linen, cutlery, pots and pans. We also have a weekly maid service, full air conditioning in both bedrooms, living and kitchen areas as well as ceiling fans. The apartment has free access to wirless broadband so that you can keep in touch with home and we also pick you up and drop you off at the aiport. So sit back, relax and enjoy. Ahh - paradise.
