New condos so pretty that we bought two. We live in one and rent the other. Beautifully appointed with European stainless appliances (dishwasher, fridge, oven, stove, and microwave), washer-dryer combo and granite countertops; tiled flooring throughout, ceiling fans and air conditioning in all rooms - or open the picture windows to allow the gentle breeze to cool you. Outdoor covered patio off the living room offers dining for four and two teak lounge chairs for watching the sailboats go by. Awake each morning to expansive views of the aqua sea, dine on the patio, then snorkel the reefs, swim with the turtles, sun yourself on our beach and jetty, or wander down the popular St. Lawrence Gap to explore larger beaches and quaint shops. No car is necessary, but if you're feeling adventurous, Barbados (14x21 miles) offers caving, surfing, fishing, parasailing, the famous Friday night Oistins fish fry on the beach and much more. It's the perfect holiday getaway in an ideal climate.

Accommodation
Bedrooms: Master bedroom with queen bed with Sferra linens. Enormous picture windows overlook the sea. En-suite.
2nd bedroom with queen bed and exquisite view of blue sea.
Ceiling fans and air condioning in both.
Bathrooms: En-suite with bathtub and shower and 2 sinks.
Bathroom 2 also offers a full bathtub with shower.
Both have windows to the outdoors for fresh air flow. Absolutely spotless. Hairdryer and 2 bathrobes provided to guests.
Kitchen: Complete kitchen with stainless sinks, dishwasher, fridge, stove, oven, and microwave, all new. Ceiling fan, tile floor, granite counters. Small appliances such as toaster, blender, coffee maker, tea kettle, utensils, full place settings, mats, napkins.
Utility Room: Large washers and dryers conveniently provided our guests on the downstairs level of the building.
Living Rooms: Comfortable seating for 6 in high-quality rattan furniture; large, flat-screen TV, small breakfast table; desk and chair. This is a large and well-appointed room that leads to the outdoor patio.
Other: Free wireless Internet connection, satellite TV. We ask that, after 10pm quiet is observed for the comfort of all guests. We provide a cell phone with plenty of mins for your stay; it's simple to buy more mins if you require them.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Towels (including beach towels) and linens included, as are all paper products and soap. Optional daily (or occasional, as you wish) maid service available, otherwise, no one will be entering your unit during your stay.

Notes on accommodation
Our condo is ideal for couples, singles and families desiring a Caribbean holiday on the lively south coast of Barbados. Small beach and private jetty are perfect for sun-bathing, or tan yourself at poolside next to the beach. At night, restaurants and night life are within a stone's throw.

Accessibility
Outdoor ramp for wheelchair use. Elevator. Inquire about handicap accessibility if needed.

Outside
Pool for guests' use looks out onto the sea and our private jetty.

Coast/Beach
We are right at water's edge, with a small beach and jetty. We snorkel around the reefs close by. A short stroll away are larger beaches offering all beach activities (parasailing etc).

Golf
We have 4 golf courses on the island.

Special interest holidays
Holders Festival every February-March is a don't-miss entertainment and theatre delight. August is the famous Crop-Over celebration with music and dance. Art galleries, spectacular pottery at Earthworks. I keep a complete and frequently updated notebook of island activities in the condo.

Travel
20 mins from Grantley Adams international airport. Car rental is available at the airport or wait until you settle in and visit a car rental agency that's a short walking distance away. Taxis are plentiful on St. Lawrence Gap as well.

Distances
The island is just 14x21 miles in size, so everything is pretty close by and, if you're driving, it's nearly impossible to get lost. St. Lawrence Gap, where we're located, is near a small grocery, shops, restaurants of every type, all within easy walking distance.

Further details
Within walking distance of South Seas Restaurant, one of two of the island's only restaurants to be awarded Four Diamond rating by AAA. Next door is even closer, where Josef's is located. Dining is right on the water at either - and the food is terrific.

Across the street is Cafe Sol, with two-for-one happy hour, upbeat music, casual atmosphere, and great Mexican food.

Booking notes
A £100 refundable deposit holds the unit and is returned within two weeks of the stay pending damage above wear-and-tear. Half payment is due 2 months in advance of your arrival; the other half is due one month ahead.

We only began renting in Mar 08. Here's one guest's comments: My stay in the beautiful apartment in Christ Church, Barbados could not have been more lovely. The apartment, beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable, is located in a secure, well-maintained and well-located part of Christ Church. The apartment has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a kitchen, living room/dining room combination and a wonderful balcony facing the sea. The feeling of warmth and luxurious pleasure engulfs you as you walk-in.

Located in an area of Christ Church called the Gap, the apartment is in the heart of the city's authentic area of entertainment and within walking distance of the islands most fabulous restaurants. The apartment literally sits on the beach and the pounding of the waves waffling through the open windows. A lovely pool sits on the deck overlooking the beautiful Caribbean Sea.
