The apartment is feet from the beach and 400 metres from 2 mile long Grand Anse beach with all its shopping malls, bars and restaurants and hotels. On its own beach there is a bar/restaurant open long hours and very close (with pool table). There is also a nightclub within the neighbouring Gem resort. It is part of a Tuscany style complex of 12 apartments, being the lowest one and closest to the beach. St Georges is 5 km away and there are many local attractions to visit such as the Rum distillery and waterfalls, lakes and volcanic and tropical rainforests inland. The harbour at St Georges is beautiful as is the Carenage close by where the DeSavery development Port Louis is being built. The cruise ships regularly arrive and there are the shopping malls full of designer and duty free goods, as well as local markets for crafts, clothes and spices. The apartment is intimate and private, with its own outlook and private garden with shrubs and tropical plants. There are approx 12 steps up.

The bedroom has a window overlooking the garden and a kingsize bed or 2 singles. It has a flatscreen TV with DVD player, also a CD player. There is air conditioning. It has a large wardobe, built in, with hanging space and shelves. Bathroom leads off. |

There is a full size bath with shower over. Also basin and bidet. It is tiled, mostly. |
| Kitchen: |
The kitchen is small covering one wall, but has a full size oven (gas) and 2 rings. There is a sink and large fridge/freezer as well as kettle/toaster. It is fully equipped. There is a washing machine. |
| Living Rooms: |
The living room/diner is part of the kitchen, and there is a mahogany dining table for 4, with other seating. Also there is a double sofa bed and a single rattan bed available for an extra guest or child. There is a flat screen TV/DVD player here also. |
Cleaning/towels/

The apartment is cleaned before and after you stay, but if you would like it cleaned during your stay then it can be arranged. There is bedlinen and towels in the apartment, as well as local soaps for your use during your stay. |
Notes on accommodation
The apartment is suitable for children or elderly but has steps. There are room fans and air conditioning in the apartment. There is also a folding, large travel cot with toys and baby changer and mosquito net.

Accessibility
There are approx 12 steps up to the gate from the lane by the beach. These are tiled so can be slippery when wet therefore care is needed.
Outside
There are double doors opening onto the private walled garden with fantastic views over the bay and beach. There is a garden table and 3 chairs plus a sunbed. Also a bar-b-que for your use. There are shrubs within the garden
Coast/Beach
The beach at Mourne Rouge is 10 metres away and is lovely, also the famous Grand Anse beach is 400 metres away and is 2 miles long with all facilities, for scuba, snorkelling, kayaking, windsurfing, sailing, water skiing etc. There are many other beaches and coves to visit and explore.
Golf
There is a 9 hole golf course about 5 minutes away by car above Grand Anse beach. If you need a companion or opponent to play and show you around, I have a friend who will do this for a small fee. He plays in tournaments whenever possible and would be happy to accompany you. He is local and also a divemaster scuba instructor so can help you with local information.
Special interest holidays
Watersports are of special interest in this area, particularly scuba diving. If you would like to arrange to dive if you are certified then I can arrange a package at a local 5 star Padi centre with excellent comfortable boats with fresh water and toilets. Likewise if you would like to learn to do this sport then I can arrange Discover scuba or Open water/advanced courses. You can also be collected from the apartment and returned there afterwards. This applies also for snorkelling trips.
Travel
Point Salines International airport is 5 k away and you can get a taxi cheaply there on your arrival. Alternatively I can arrange for you to be collected. I have a jeep which you can hire during your stay (£125 for a week, plus returnable deposit). It will be necessary for you to go to the local police station (half a mile away) and get a temporary licence for driving there). Also there are many jeep/car hire firms I can arrange jeep hire for you with, (approx £160 a week).
Distances
One end of Grand Anse beach is approx 400 metres away and the beach is 2 miles long with all the facilities you could require. 5 k away is the capital St Georges with the cruise ship terminal and local markets and shops. The island is approx 22 miles by 12 miles so everything is close by.
Further details
Grand Anse has various banks and tourist facilities as well as hotel facilities. There are offices to book local tours to the rum factory, waterfalls, forests and lakes. Running down the peninsula from the apartment is a lovely public area out on Quarantine Point, where there is a 360 degree view of the Caribbean Sea, with seating and parking and it is possible to watch magnificent sunsets here and see the neighbouring coastlines.
Booking notes
I would like a 30% deposit when booking then the balance 8 weeks before your departure. I would also like an £85 returnable deposit for any breakages. This can be sent to me by cheque. If you are not resident in the British Isles then you can transfer money direct into my account.
