Accommodation

Notes on accommodation
The villa is fully air conditioned throughout and all rooms have ceiling fans and this is all included in the price. The large master bedroom (with en-suite bathroom) has a queen bed, dressing table, bedside tables and a 'walk in' wardrobe. The 2nd queen bedroom (with en-suite shower room) has dressing table, bedside tables and plenty of built in wardrobe space. There are 2 further bedrooms 1 a double and 1 a twin which share a 3rd shower room. They also enjoy built in wardrobes. All bedrooms are air-conditioned and have ceiling fans.

Outside
Outside there is your own exclusive and private 8.5 x 4.5 metre swimming pool with ‘Roman Steps’ and ladder. You will also find 6 comfortable sun loungers, parasols, table and chairs seating 6 and a gas BBQ. There is plenty of room on the decked patio area around the pool for sunbathing whilst the covered terrace provides some shade. The garden is planted with palms, tropical flowers and shrubs. Plenty of off road parking.

Coast/Beach
Antigua has 365 beaches one for each day of the year! Coco Palm Villa is ideally located close to some of the best beaches on the island. You can either enjoy the activities and water sports that Jolly Beach has to offer (5-10 minutes walk away) or find your own tranquil spot away from the crowds on Coco Beach, Ffryes Beach or (the locals favourite) Darkwood Beach all a 5 minutes drive away.

Golf
Jolly Harbour features an established 18 hole, par 71 (5,587 yards) championship course designed by leading golf course architect, Karl Litton of Florida. The golf course is set in tropical parkland. Easterly breezes cool you on the fairways that have been sculpted into a green hilly landscape with seven lakes making the course more of a challenge. The club benefits from a clubhouse with pro shop, snack/drinks bar, restaurant, locker room and showers. Open to visitors on a daily fee basis 9 holes costs US$25 and 18 holes US$40. There are also special weekly, monthly or yearly rates available. Club and power cart rental is also available (US$15 and US$25 respectively for 18 holes). Booking tee times in advance is easy either by telephone or email.

Travel
Antigua's airport is the V C Bird International which is 10 miles from the villa. Airport taxi transfers from/to V C Bird International Airport are included in the weekly rental price and therefore car hire is not essential. Car hire is however available from both the airport or Jolly Harbour. Alternatively hire a taxi for the day (around US$100). They'll take you wherever you want and wait for you while you explore Nelson's Dockyard, calypso (Sun) at Shirley's Heights or shopping in St John's.

Distances
Jolly Beach is the largest marina, golf and beach resort in the Caribbean. Like the villa it is situated on the beautiful west coast of Antigua, the Caribbean Sea side. Whilst there is lots to do during your stay (with some bars and restaurants within easy walking distance for that evening entertainment) the villa is in a quiet cul-de-sac a 5-10 min walk away so you can enjoy tranquillity as well. There are a wide range of water sports available from Jolly Beach.

Antigua and Barbuda are located in the middle of the Leeward Islands in the Eastern Caribbean, roughly 17 degrees north of the equator and has a population of 68,000. To the south are the islands of Montserrat and Guadaloupe, and to the north and west are Nevis, St. Kitts, St. Barts, and St. Martin. The sister island of Barbuda lies 27 miles northeast of Antigua with a land area of 62 square miles. The largest of the English-speaking Leeward Islands, Antigua is about 14 miles long and 11 miles wide, encompassing 108 square miles. Barbuda, a flat coral island lies approximately 30 miles due north. Sunny and warm all year with soothing trade winds, the average temperature ranges from the mid-seventies in the winter to the mid-eighties in the summer. Annual rainfall averages only 45 inches, making it the sunniest of the Eastern Caribbean Islands, and the northeast trade winds are nearly constant, flagging only in September. Low humidity all year and the Antiguan's are really friendly. The Jolly Beach Shopping Plaza fronts the marina with a decked walkway and is conveniently only a 5 mins walk from the villa. The Grand Princess Casino is next to the shopping plaza which has boutiques, jewellery store, bank, large supermarket (ideal for self-catering at the villa), off licence, pharmacy, Caribbean art gallery, music store, beauty salon and car hire. There are a wide range of water sports available from Jolly Beach (10 minutes walk from the villa) including wind surfing, sunfish sailing, water bicycles, skiing, para-sailing, sausage runs, jet-skis and ocean kayaks. You can also book fishing charters in the shopping plaza or a helicopter sightseeing tour of the Island or neighbouring Montserrat. Scuba diving and snorkeling trips can also be arranged with PADI qualified instructors. If that all sounds too energetic then within a 5 mins drive from the villa (or a 15-25 walk) are some of the best white sandy beaches on the Island.

Booking notes
Airport taxi transfers from/to V C Bird International Airport are included in the weekly rental price as is a weekly maid service. The villa is also fully air conditioned and again this is included in the price. Deposit to secure booking is 25% with the balance payable 10 weeks before arrival date. We accept payment by cheque, bank transfer or can take credit card payments. Security deposit £100. Free welcome pack on arrival.
