Coral Cliff House was lovingly built in the 1970s as a family retreat on the old sugar plantation of Maynards. Its stunning elevated position on the edge of an escarpment with a private tranquil garden and pool, allows fantastic views of the sea and is the perfect spot to watch the Caribbean sunset, with rum punch in hand. The bedrooms, one double, one twin/double, both en-suite, and a small double bedroom with its own shower, wc facilities. The open plan living/dining room opens completely to allow the cool trade winds to blow through the house, as a result air-conditioning in this environmentally friendly house is blissfully not needed. Situated on the Caribbean coast, the house is easily accessible to all the famous west coast beaches. The nearest, Six Mens Bay, being a short 10 minute walk. Nearby Speightstown and Holetown offer all the facilities from high class restaurants to the local rum bars, watersports, golf courses, tennis courts, banks, shops, internet cafes.

Bedroom 2 with twin beds, en-suite and ceiling fan.
Bedroom 3 with double bed, adjacent shower room and WC and access to garden (not to the standard of bedrooms 1 and 2).
Bathrooms: Bathroom 1, en-suite, bath/shower over, wc, basin, fitted marble vanity with cupboards.
Bathroom 2, en-suite, shower, basin, wc, fitted marble vanity with cupboards.
Bathroom 1 and 2 have been completely refurbished.
Bathroom 3, shower, wc, basin.
Kitchen: Double electric oven, electric hob, microwave, toaster, fridge freezer, slow cooker, walk in larder.
Utility Room: Washing machine, iron, ironing board, portable gas BBQ, 2 folding z-beds.
Living Rooms: Living room, featuring a uniquely-crafted wooden roof with bespoke bamboo furniture. Doors and windows fold back completely to outside dining area and spacious partially covered veranda with reclining chairs and garden furniture. CD, radio and bar area.
Other: Open walled entrance hall. Digital Safe. Television available by separate arrangement.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Linen, towels and beach towels provided and changed regularly. Maid 5 days a week (not Sat/Sun or public holidays). Pool cleaned twice a week. Gardener once a week. Cook available by private arrangement.

Notes on accommodation
The house does not have airconditioning and does not require it. The house is situated high on the edge of the cliff and has constant cooling trade winds throughout the year. The variable speed Hunter ceiling fans provide more than sufficient air circulation. TV, video, DVD hire (not satellite) can be arranged on request prior to arrival. Cot hire can be arranged on request prior to arrival.

Accessibility
Whilst the property has not been specifically adapted for wheelchair users the house is all on one level and will accommodate wheelcahir use.

Outside
1 acre of lush garden featuring many tropical trees, shrubs flowers and extensive lawns. The garden is surrounded on 2 sides by open grassland and infront by a steep escarpment providing un-interrupted views and privacy. The property is enclosed by fencing and hibiscus hedging.
The pool is approx 6m x 4m with varying depths. It has a convenient, safety standing step around the pool. Paved surrounds with beautiful lighting adding to the atmospheric Caribbean night. Sunbeds and chairs allow for lazy days reading and chillin' Bajan style by the pool. Covered parking.

Coast/Beach
West Coast beaches: nearest beach (Six Men’s Bay) is a 10 min walk. Less than 7 miles to countless other paradise beaches on Caribbean coast.
East Coast beaches: are easily accessible via some of the most beautiful inland scenery Barbados has to offer, the rugged windswept beach of Bathsheba is only a 30 minute drive and definitely worth a visit for its unique Bajan beauty.
South Coast beaches: are about a 50 minute drive via Bridgetown.

Golf
Westmoreland world famous Championship Golf Course is only a short 20 minute drive away - a 6,870 yard par 72 course of unrivalled beauty, with views of the shimmering ocean from every hole, and a layout to test every club in your bag. Each hole has several tees to accommodate every level of play. At the heart of the golf course stands the elegant, colonial-style Clubhouse with sweeping views over the emerald fairways to the deep blue Caribbean Sea. It is suggested that you confirm with the Golf Course directly as to the playing availability.

Travel
Grantley Adams International Airport is about 1 hours drive. Taxis are cheap, plentiful and do not have to be prearranged. Rental cars are also very affordable and definitely recommended for staying in the house. Reputable companies can be recommended.

Distances
Mile and a Quarter is 1/2 miles away with a petrol station. Speightstown with all usual town amenities is 3 miles away. The vibrant Island Capital of Bridgetown is a 45 minute drive.

Further details
The nearest major supermarket is Jordan’s in Speightstown, 5 minutes by car from the villa. Speightstown also offers banks, shops, restaurants, bars and the local fruit and veg market. There are a plethora of restaurants nearby - for example; The Fish Pot, The Cliff, Daphnes, The Coach House, The Fisherman’s Bar, Cocomos, The Mews, Merton’s, Mangos, Mulins Beach Bar to name a few in the local area. Watersports are available on Almond Beach (3 mins drive) including, jet skiing, catamarans, water-skiing and diving. From Bridgetown it is possible to go deep-sea fishing and to charter a large sailing yacht.
Bajan Activities are not totally restricted to the coast, there are a host of beautiful Colonial Plantation Houses which are now interesting museums. The local Barbados Wildlife Reserve affords the opportunity to amble through the lush Mahogany grove and mingle with free roaming monkeys, deer, otters, agouti and mongoose.
Then there is the rich diversity of the Bajan sports which all are welcome to watch and enjoy the atmosphere, cricket, horse racing and polo are amongst the favourite spectator sports. All the relevant information of things to do in Barbados are provided in the house.

Booking notes
Bookings are confirmed by email and then a letter in the post. A 10 % deposit that is non-refundable is due 7 days after booking to confirm. The balance is due 6 weeks prior to arrival (Last minutes bookings are accepted at reduced rates subject to availability). Payments can made by electronic transfer or Sterling cheques.
