Coast/Beach
West Coast is known for its calm waters and swimming is good along the entire coast. Some of the really nice beaches are Paynes Bay, Sandy Lane and Mullins Beach (Paynes Bay is approx 5 mins drive). South coast Carlisle Bay, Rockley Beach, Worthing Beach and Dover Beach are all great for swimming with the calmest water found at Carlisle Bay, and Worthing Beach where there is a lagoon.
Golf
Sandy Lane Hotel and golf course, 5 mins drive. Rockley golf club, 20 mins drive. Barbados golf course, 30 mins drive. Royal Westmoreland golf course (members only), 20 mins drive. Tapas bar, food outlets and shopping centre 20 mins drive with parking facilities.
Travel
Approximately 25 minutes drive from Grantley Adams Airport (dependant on traffic). Car hire essential. Barbados drives on the left so perfect for Brits, all hire cars have "H" registration numbers which make the locals aware of us holidaymakers. There are so many beautiful beaches and sites to visit that a car is a must.
Distances
Approx 5 minutes drive to supermarket, restaurants, beaches, Sandy Lane Golf club (a must for lunch).
