A beautiful coral rendered 4 bedroom luxury villa ideally located, close to Holetown the centre of Barbados famous luxury West Coast. Large family house with four large air conditioned bedrooms, and ground floor fully open plan kitchen, dining and living area. Villa is complete with laundry room, three patios, garage, gardens and a massive 35' (length) x 16' (width) x 6' (depth) swimming pool. Just a 6 minute stroll to 3 different beaches and a brief walk (15-20 minutes) or 5 minute drive to all the local amenities at Holetown. Cable TV, telephone, maid and pool service. Local beaches include Alleynes Bay, Glitter Bay and Lone Star. For convenience UK 240v socket outlets are provided throughout the villa as well as local 110v sockets.

Changeover day
Changeover day is flexible, and usually extended stayover is not a problem. Wherever possible we will attempt to avoid same day changeovers, however where a same day changeover is unavoidable arrival time is 3pm or later and departure is 12pm or earlier.

Notes on accommodation
Lime Villa is a large relaxed family friendly villa. Ideally suited to large and family groups who will enjoy the privacy of a private Caribbean home with massive 35' x 16' swimming pool. You will love its proximity to all the west coast beaches and amenities, the duty free shops, supermarkets, banks and restaurants at Holetown. Golf and tennis are available within 5 minutes at Royal Westmoreland and Sugar Hill (Charges Apply). More golf is also available at Sandy Lane (10 mins drive). All 4 bedrooms are individually air-conditioned and the private garden is fully enclosed. Private garage, driveway and seperate outdoor shower beside the pool. Lime Villa is an ideal home in the sunshine where you may enjoy the relaxed Barbados laid back lifestyle. Lime Villa is situated in the new private residential development of "Westport" next to "Heron Court"

Accessibility
Lime Villa has 1 flight of stairs internally, and 1 half flight externally to the outside shower. The front patio is 1 step above ground level. Lime Villa has not been specifically designed to allow wheelchair access.

Outside
The pool deck with its massive 35' x 16' swimming pool has plenty of loungers and additional tables and chairs with umbrellas for those wishing shade from the sun. A charcoal barbeque is provided for those balmy evenings spent grilling freshly caught fish. Shade can always be found on at least 1 patio depending on the time of day. The pool is unheated but is always warm as it benefits from full sun all day. The gardens are part shaded from about 3pm. Each of the patio's has at least one table and chairs. A hammock can be hung on the shady front patio. The palm lined garden is mature and contained with beautiful bouganvillia hedges and many tropical plants attracting humming birds and other tropical bird life. A lawn is available for games with the children or more sunbathing area if preffered. Usually a number of pool inflatables are left by guests through the year for later guests to use.

Coast/Beach
Three local beaches are within walking distance, but are all linked on Barbados famous Platinum West Coast. Nearest beaches are Alleynes Bay, Glitter Bay, Royal Pavillion and Lone Star. All are six to ten minutes walk from Lime Villa. From Alleynes Bay it is possible to walk uninterrupted for about 5 miles along the west coast past Holetown as far as Sandy Lane and Paynes Bay. Snorkelling and diving available off the beach and trips to swim with turtles, glass bottom boats and all watersports.

Golf
Royal Westmoreland Golf Course (36 Holes) is 1 mile away. Golf is also available at the Championship Sandy Lane Course. This course (45 Holes) hosted the world golf championships in December 2006, and is played by top golfers worldwide.
Tiger Woods even chose to get married at the Hotel/Golf club house this is less than a ten minute drive away.
A 9 hole course is available at Heywoods Resort (Almond Beach) in Speightstown which is a ten to 15 minute drive. Further Golf at Barbados Golf Club about a 35 minute drive.
Barbados is developing even more Golf Courses every year.

Skiing
Water skiing is available from all of the local beaches as are Jet Skis, Glass Bottom Boats, Parasailing.

Special interest holidays
Special arrangements can be made to learn to Scuba dive with local Padi Dive Instructors either in the pool, or learn and dive in the sea. Local diving is good quality and warm crystal clear waters with exotic marine life and Caribbean shipwrecks.

Travel
Barbados Airport is Grantley Adams International which is about 40 minutes from Lime Villa by car. Airport pickups can be arranged, as can car hire, and guided island tours.
Car hire is recommended as many roads are unlit at night, and have little or no footpath. However a car is not essential as reliable bus and taxi services stop nearby, depending on the type of holiday you prefer. Additional services available include shopping delivery, meal on arrival etc.

Distances
Distance to Holetown is about 15 to 20 minutes walking, or 5 minutes by car. Nearest rum shop/bar is about a ten minute walk.

Further details
Holetown includes all the shops that are required including a large well stocked supermarket with free courtesey shuttle back to villa. Many duty free shops, Chattel Village of local products and gifts. Four banks, post office, DVD rentals, fine dining, restaurants, bars and limited nightlife.
Barbados boasts some of the finest dining and hotels in the world. For special occasions the dining at Sandy Lane Hotel and The Cliff are highly recommended!
Excursions and other trips including Catamaran cruises, Jolly Roger Pirate cruises and Inter Island excursions are available.
Day excursions such as Harrisons Caves, Jeep Safaris, Seaworld, the Animal Flower Cave and the Flower Forest all help to make Barbados an exciting and fun packed destination. Other excursions include tours of Concorde, Rum Distillerys, Banks Brewery, Bridgetown Duty Free shopping and the wild East Coast of Barbados will ensure you are never bored. Through July and into August Barbados celebrates CropOver a true West Indian Carnival with costumed bands, street music and a month long festival culminating on the first Monday in August for Grand Kadooment. This is a cultural extravaganza and not to be missed but be sure to book early as these dates prove very popular amongst regular visitors and returning Bajans
Do not forget Barbados is home to the Kensington Oval cricket ground and whether the West Indies are playing in a test, or one day match this is a must see spectacular as West Indian Cricket with all its characters noise and spectacle unfold.
Garrison Savannah in Bridgetown is home to Barbados Horse Racing and the monthly races are exciting and different to those in the UK. Polo is available at several nearby venues and this is also very exciting to watch.
Holders Hill (10 minutes by car) holds an annual Opera and a Jazz season.
Local food and delicacies are available from nearby roadside vendors and from the famous Oistins Fish Fry on almost any evening.

Booking notes
Booking to be made with owner. Payments to bank account in Barbados via money transfer. Prices are in US Dollars and a 25% non refundable deposit is required on booking. Balance is due 12 weeks prior to departure. A £200 security deposit is due before departure, refundable subject to fair wear and tear and reasonable use of utilities. In event of a inability to fulfil a booking for any reason, we shall refund all monies paid in full for villa rental, as full and final settlement of booking.
