This large private villa has recently been completely refurbished in 2007 with a new large pool standing on a quarter of an acre plot. All 4 bedrooms are air conditioned and the master bedroom opens up onto the veranda with a view of the pool. Close to several beaches and award winning restaurants. There is also a new detached 2 bedroom cottage available in the grounds at an extra cost. Both rooms in the cottage have a view of the pool and open onto its own veranda. In total the main house can sleep 8 and the cottage 4-5. The property is set in a quiet, good residential area with a large secluded garden. The property is only 8 minutes from the airport, 2 minutes to the nearest beach, 5 minutes to the best golf club on the island and 3-5 minutes from 2 great restaurants. There is an excellent supermarket 10 minutes away and the capital St Johns is only a 15 minute drive. The guest cottage will not be rented out separately to the house.

Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds. Guest Cottage prices available on request for groups between 8 and 13. 15% last minute offer for bookings departing within 10 days. May and September of £100 discount.
Changeover day
Preferred changeover days are Friday/Saturday, however some flexibility for stays longer than a week.

Notes on accommodation
All bedrooms are air conditioned and have have ceiling fans. This property is suitable for children. Door alarms are installed onto all the patio doors opening out onto the pool for safety.

Accessibility
The property is all on a single level with a level garden, however there is one small step onto the rear house veranda and one onto the front porch.
Outside
The property is situated on a quarter acre plot with a large coconut tree, fruit trees and tropical plants. There are 2 large verandas, one of which is used as an outside dining area. There are 8 sun loungers and 10 other outside reclining chairs along with 4 outside tables including a large dinning table. The pool is 32 feet in length by 16 feet wide with roman steps and a fountain. There is also lighting in and around the pool for evening time. The majority of the garden is laid to grass. At all times during the day there is plenty of natural shade as well as sun-bathing areas. It is possible to walk to the nearest beach (.07 miles away) which is the equivalent to a Natural Trust beach.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is 850 metres away or 2 minutes drive. Antigua has 365 beaches, many of which are accessible by boat. All the main beaches are within a 5 -45 minute drive. One of Antigua's best beach is 8 minutes drive away. All beaches are public with free parking.
Golf
Cedar Valley golf course is the best golf course on the island and is only a 5 minute drive from the property. It has an 18 hole, par 69, 5932 yard course. They do allow visitors to play on the course and use their clubhouse, restaurant and other facilities from about £15 a round depending upon exchange rate. This is a well maintained and highly regarded club with better than average facilities. There are several courses on the island including Jolly Harbour which is an 18 hole, par 71 6001 yard course which is within a 30 minute drive. Clubs and carts are available to hire from both courses.
Travel
VC Bird International Airport at St Johns is 8 minutes away. Car hire is recommended.
Distances
5 minutes to nearest village. 15 minutes to capital St John's with Duty Free Shopping. 8 minutes to airport. 12 minutes to large supermarket. 2 minutes to nearest beach. 40 minutes from Historic Nelson's Dockyard.
Further details
Antigua is not only famous for its beaches but for other leisure facilities including fishing, sailing, water skiing, scuba diving, snorkeling, windsurfing, kite surfing, golf, horse riding and tennis. Antigua has good duty free shopping with rum, spirits, cigars and competitive jewelery stores. The local supermarkets sell Caribbean, American and well known British branded goods. There are plenty of banks, petrol stations and places to buy food and other goods on the island. If you would like your children looked after for a day or more we can recommend a local children's day nursery which is very reasonable and well run, or alternatively we can organise a child carer who can help out during the day or do some baby sitting. We have used both avenues and have been happy with both avenues.
Booking notes
1. A booking deposit of 30% of the total rental price is payable upon returning the booking form 2. The full balance is payable 8 weeks prior to arrival. 3. A refundable damage deposit is payable 8 weeks prior to arrival of £200. 4. A small charge will be made for any excessive use of electricity only if notably higher than average usage (i.e of AC units are left on). Discounted Flights can be arranged. A full copy of our terms and conditions are sent out with the booking form.
