House "Seaside"

Several individual houses in the compound, all with colourful gardens of tropical flowers and views of the sea, are tastefully furnished and completely equipped for your comfort. Each house has it’s own style, character and quality. The buildings are named to match their special features. “Seaside” was at one time the seaside resort of a plantation owner. It was built in 1920 from the island’s natural stone, the coral stone, and beautifully restored in 1993, perfectly preserving it’s colonial style. “Seaside Cottages” are very special accommodations, providing lifestyle and living it at it’s best. It does consist of three very upmarket 1-bedroom apartments with a number of luxury features, stretching over 2 floors and with beautiful views of the ocean. “Seaside Cottages” also function as a two bedroom or three bedroom house depending on the requirement one might have and can be ideal for bigger groups or families.

Seaside (2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 4/5)

"Seaside", built in 1920 and beautifully restored in 1993, is a charming, coral stone building beautifully situated at the water's edge on the western end of Silver Sands beach. This elegant, colonial style house is a striking ocean front property.
The two bedrooms / two bathrooms apartment on the ground floor has an airy, open plan design. Exposed coral stone walls combine with antique and modern furniture to create an atmosphere that is stylish yet thoroughly comfortable. Two French doors lead from the living room onto a spacious patio which is surrounded by lush tropical vegetation. An elevated wooden deck, cooled by the gentle tradewinds and sheltered by a coconut tree, is perfect spot for alfresco dining or simply relaxing and letting the magnificent panorama of turquoise Caribbean water delight the eyes.

Sunrise (2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 4)

"Sunrise" is perched at the water's edge on a rocky point at the end of the magnificent Silver Sands beach. French doors open onto two spacious terraces, one covered and one open, that offer commanding views over the beach which is one of Barbados' most popular surfing and windsurfing spots.
Constant easterly tradewinds ensure that this breezy two bedroom, two bathroom house is always cool and comfortable. The property is fully equipped and amenities include satellite TV, CD stereo system and private telephone. "Sunrise" comes complete with maid service which includes cooking and laundry. Our property manager is (as for all Inchcape villas) available to assist you with any requests.
At the end of a sun-filled day, the sound of the pounding surf will lull you into a wonderfully restful night's sleep. "Sunrise" is a haven for those who enjoy being close to the ocean.

Seaside Cottages (1 Bedroom, Sleeps 2/3)

Nestled within the boundaries of Inchcape in a blissfully private location "Seaside Cottages" have the perfect "away from it all" atmosphere. Surrounded by gardens and just a few steps from a magnificent white sand beach it is a natural choice for those who appreciate elegant simplicity.
Each of the three "Seaside Cottages" is equipped with one bedroom and stretches over two floors - the living room, kitchen and bathroom are on the ground floor level and the bedrooms and terraces on the first floor. These units cater to those who can appreciate architectural finesse combining the mix of "historical old" with all modern and upmarket features of modern living in total harmony. The views from their loft bedrooms and terrace areas overlooking the Caribbean Sea are breathtaking. The "Seaside Cottages" are not only outstanding in architecture and looks, together with "Seaside" they are also Inchcape's prime units as far as special upmarket services are concerned.

Gatehouse (1, 2 or 3 Bedrooms, Sleeps up to 9)

"Gatehouse" is an impressive and unique property containing three different upstairs and downstairs sections. The "Tower" unit is a stylish and very spacious one bedroom apartment. "Seaview" and "Coconut" are studios with small kitchens and a bathroom. All three units can be combined with each other so that the "Gatehouse" can be used as either a one-, two- or three-bedroom house. Each unit has it's own terrace offering splendid views of the ocean.
The "Tower" unit has a secluded patio and a hammock in it's tropical garden next to it's outdoor terrace and apart from that also an additional roof terrace which might serve it's guests as a secluded sunbathing area with undisturbed privacy.
The "Gatehouse" is nestled amongst tropical plants and trees, and is the perfect place to hide away and enjoy total relaxation. Beautifully restored antique combined with modern furniture graces the interior of this lovely property creating an atmosphere of style and comfort.

Notes on accommodation
All you have to do to be connected to the world while chilling out on a Caribbean beach is: bring your laptop and connect via our highspeed wireless internet connection, which is available complimentary on the whole compound. Alternatively you can set up a private dial-up connection to our local providers Sunbeach or Caribsurf.
Our maid / cook service is absolutely outstanding. Each unit at Inchcape is taken care of by a courteous and pleasant maid. She keeps the house / apartment impeccably clean, washes and irons your sheets and towels and in the two bedroom units also prepares Bajan meals you will never forget.
Outside
Inchcape is a place where dreams of the tropical island experience come true. Listen to the whisper of the trade winds brushing the tips of the coconut palms and get carried away by the colourful sounds of the steel drums, reggae and calypso music.
Clustered on the southern most tip of the Caribbean island of Barbados, Inchcape resides on Ananias Point right on the edge of Silver Sands Beach.
Facing into the gentle breezes of the trades, Inchcape overlooks one of the islands most beautiful unspoiled white sand beaches to it's left while foamy rollers pound against the coral rocks at the western end of Silver Sands' beach.
Inchcape is surrounded by brilliant clear blue water. Visibility is undisturbed at up to fifty feet. Swimming and snorkeling are superb. Surfing is exceptional in the shorebreak only steps away from your house.
Most noteworthy is it's location as one of the best wave windsurfing spots on earth. Life is casual and unhurried in the true Barbadian tradition.
Coast/Beach
Surrounded by white sand beaches fringed with coconut palms, the coral island of Barbados rises out of the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean Sea.
Barbados is the eastern most Caribbean island, an independent nation within the Commonwealth. The common language is English. The island is 34 kilometers long and 23 kilometers wide.
Golf
The Inchcape management gladly arranges tee times and lessons. The Barbados Golf Club, Sandy Lane and Royal Westmoreland have excellent pro shops. The combination of golf, sun and the Caribbean Sea, a comfortable place to stay at Inchcape on the most southern tip of the island - aren't those reasons enough to try Barbados for a golf vacation?
Since the year 2003 Barbados has four excellent 18-hole championship golf courses. Sandy Lane with two Tom Fazio designed courses will rank amongst the finest golf resorts in the world. The elegance and beauty of the course of Royal Westmoreland, one of the best of Robert Trent Jones jr.'s designs, is outstanding and if there is one course to play in Barbados, it's definitely the one of Royal Westmoreland.
Inchcape guests are priviledged with favourable green fees, especially at the private Country Club of Royal Westmoreland.
Travel
If not required differently we will make arrangements for you to be met at the airport by taxi driver David Chandler (who does most of our pick ups and drops) for transportation to Inchcape and back to the airport at the end of your stay. If David is not available he will arrange for another taxi to do the service.

Booking notes
To keep a booking confirmed we need to receive a downpayment of approximately 50% of the total rental fee within seven days of the day of booking. After having received a booking we will e-mail you the bank transfer information. All downpayments are basically non-refundable, but Inchcape will always try to recover days of a cancelled booking. If this can be achieved refunds will be granted.
