Holiday Villa at Saddle Hill, Nr. Charlestown, Nevis
Hillside Villa with Stunning Panoramic Views
Sleeps 4 (2 Bedrooms)
|
|
The property is a striking modern house set at the highest point of a residential development on the side of Saddle Hill, famous for Nelson's lookout point and ruined fort. The elevation means that there is a steady breeze and very little bother from mosquitoes. There are great views including sunrise and moonrise on the Atlantic side and sunset on the Caribbean side of the hill. Facing the patio is Nevis peak, an inactive volcano usually with a cloud on the summit, mistaken for snow by Columbus who gave the island its name.

Notes on accommodation
The steep slope with some unguarded edges make the property unsuitable for small children. There is usually a strong breeze blowing and the wind can be quite noisy at night. There is a solar water heater and an electric boiler. The water supply is via rain fed tanks which is fine for washing but we recommend island spring water for drinking. We do see monkeys in the bushes around the property sometimes and it is best not to leave food exposed.

There are two sun loungers.
