This spacious, modern, detached luxury villa, with large electrically heated private pool and extensive south facing private terrace and gated walled garden is situated in its own grounds, with wonderful mountain views. It is very similar to other James Villas on the development without the price! Equipped and furnished to a very high standard in a private development it is ideal for two families. A large driveway has space for four cars. The villa consists of a spacious lounge and dining area furnished with comfortable leather sofas, with SKY family package, childrens channels and SKY Sports TV, PS2, CD Stereo System and DVD player. Welcome pack, cot and highchair all included. There are large patio doors leading directly onto the terrace for alfresco dining with large wooden outdoor table and chairs, barbeque, swinging hammock chair, and sunloungers for 8. The beautiful pool area is completely private,not overlooked and has a garden planted with cacti, palm trees and tropical plants.

Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Top quality towels, cloths, tea towels, and white cotton bed linen are included during your stay. Towels are changed mid-week. For a two week stay all linen is replaced and a mid stay clean is undertaken.

Notes on accommodation
Set in a private development, the villa has high ceilings and is airy and spacious. Two families can stay at opposite ends of the villa for privacy.

Accessibility
Although not specifically designed for wheelchair users, the villa is wheelchair friendly.

Outside
South facing, private gated and walled garden with extensive terracing and barbeque area. Ideally positioned for sunshine all day long, with shaded terrace area for those who prefer. Five rooms overlook the pool terrace and garden area. 32 sq.m., large electrically heated pool, with romanesque style steps and a shallower end for the little ones. Outdoor shower. Wooden dining table and chairs. Charcoal barbecue. Eight reclining sunloungers, two benches and a swinging hammock chair! The pool has underwater lighting and looks spectacular at night time illuminated, creating a fabulous atmosphere for those relaxing balmy evenings.

Coast/Beach
The property is just a 15-20 minute walk from the nearest beach, Playa Flamingo. This beach is popular with families as there are good facilities nearby and safe swimming. A 3 minute drive will bring you to Playa Dorado Beach good for water sports. A 5 minute drive will take you to the Marina. Just a 10 minute drive from the villa you will find the beautiful area of Papagayo with natural beaches and ideal for sunbathing and snorkelling.

Golf
The nearest golf course is the superb new 18 hole course at Tias where all necessary equipment can be hired. (15-20 min drive). There is also a further 18 hole golf course at Costa Teguise where again all equipment can be hired or why not try the championship golf course in Fuerteventura. We are awaiting our proposed golf course in Playa Blanca. Pitch and Putt available near to Dorada beach and crazy golf near to the bus station.

Travel
Arrecife Airport is just a 30 minute drive from the villa. Car hire is recommended though not essential. Taxi rank available at the bottom of the road.

Distances
Nearest supermarket 5 minute walk. Hotel opposite, 5 minute walk with restaurant facilities and tennis courts for hire. Playa Blanca village is just a 20 minute walk or a 3 minute drive from the villa. There is a taxi rank and bus stop outside the estate with buses every 30 mins accesssing all of the resort area. Taxis cost 3-4 euros to village.

Further details
Playa Blanca is a wonderfully vibrant fishing village and has a fabulous promenade to amble along stretching over 5km from the lighthouse to the Marina. It enjoys the most wonderful views of Fuerterventura, with opportunities to observe the beaches, and enjoy the restaurants and shops, along the way. Bike hire is available. Regular dive centres along the coast offer PADI courses. Crazy golf. Tennis. Fishing. Boat trips all available. Booking notes
To secure your booking, a deposit of 20% (non-refundable) should be paid and the balance payable 8 weeks prior to departure. We also collect a £100 breakages deposit fully refundable in the event that no damage has been incurred. The pool can be heated if requested for a nominal charge.

About the owner
I have left nursing and midwifery behind to concentrate on our family and develop my interest in interior design. My husband is a practising GP. We all love the outdoor life and play tennis and golf for our local clubs. The boys play rugby and our daughter plays hockey, all representing school and local teams. Our eldest son Sean is studying Engineering at Oxford University, Alex our second son is in the sixth form and Sophie our daughter Year 9. We also have Jessie our adored Golden Retriever. We have been visiting Lanzarote for the last 19 years and love the all year round climate. We particularly love Playa Blanca for its wonderful beaches and upmarket feel. The standard of cuisine is excellent, we really enjoy visiting the various restaurants and eating outside on balmy evenings.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We fell in love with our villa because it is so large and spacious, and set in its own extensive grounds. The majority of the rooms look onto the pool and garden area and the large windows throw light into the villa bringing the garden indoors. The patio area is south facing and extensive allowing optimal sunbathing and our three children have great fun with ball games and with a good run up, landing in our very own pool. We really enjoy the villa because it affords us our own space, even when our friends stay with us and we have home from home facilities including Sky TV- very important for watching all that sport! We love the fact that it is so private and not overlooked offering peace and tranquility with wonderful mountain views and yet has everything on its doorstep.

Unique benefits of the property
We bought the villa originally for ourselves but being tied to school holidays we have successfully rented out for the last 4 years. We eventually plan to semi-retire here avoiding the cold winters at home and look forward to being able to accommodate a large family and friends.
