A 1 bedroom 2 floor apartment will sleep up to 4 people, is situated in a quiet but central complex within the town of Caleta de Fuste, Fuerteventura. The child friendly sandy beach and a wide selection of restaurants, cafes, bars and shops, are all only a 5 minute walk away. If needed a doctor's surgery and pharmacy are just a 2 minutes walk away. The harbour is just 7 minutes walk away. The upstairs consists of a bedroom leading on to a sunny balcony. Bathroom with shower. Downstairs consists of an open plan lounge with a double sofabed, a fully equipped kitchen, dining table and chairs. There is a TV/DVD combo with satellite TV available and a stereo. A utility room with a washing machine, iron and ironing board. A small terraced with outside table and chairs facing a communal swimming pool. There are two sun loungers cushions available to be used around the pool or on the balcony,there are more sun loungers around the communal pool if required.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds, the same price for up to 4 occupants. Additional days are charged at £22 per day. There is a 10%discount for bookings of 4 weeks of more and a 5% discount for returning customers.
Payments can be made by bank transfer or Paypal, please ask for details.

Changeover day
The changeover days are flexible.
The apartment will be available form 16:00 on the day of arrival, bags can be left if you arrive earlier.
Departure from the appartment by 10:00.

Accommodation

 

Notes on accommodation
There is a clothes horse for the balcony where clothes will dry very quickly. There are 2 sun loungers with cushons. The power supply in this apartment is 220 Volts 50 Hertz. The electrical sockets are of the two pin round type, which there are two different types; the upstairs sockets are smaller than the downstairs ones. The two pin electrical plug which comes with a mobile telephone charger will fit in the sockets down stairs without an adaptor, but not upstairs. The adaptor, which converts the UK style 3 pin square plug to two pin round plug will fit in the electrical sockets downstairs. Pets are not accepted.
There are no baby cots in my apartment, but they can be hired locally, please see my website for details.

Outside
Small terrace with outdoor table and chairs facing a communal swimming pool. This swimming pool does not have lifeguards on duty, so extreme care will be required with small children. There are two sun loungers cushions available to be used around the pool or on the balcony, there are more sun loungers around the communal pool if required.

Coast/Beach
Approximately 700 metres to the first of two child friendly sandy beaches where there is an abundance of watersports e.g. scuba diving, fishing, snorkelling, windsurfing and jet skiing.

Golf
Approximately 0.5km. Fuerteventura golf club which hosted 2004 Spanish open with second one opening at the end of the year. All year round course, 18 holes, par 70, yardage of 6697, over 2 loops of nine holes. Green fees E.

Travel
Fuerteventura airport 7km. Car hire not essential if staying local; but recommended if touring, book in advance as difficult to get locally, please visit my web site for more information. Transfer from/to airport is available at an additional charge, please ask for details. Taking a taxi is cheaper, but usually a very long queue. The bus No.3 will take you to Caleta de Fuste, but make sure its going the right way, it also goes to Puerto de Rosario. The fare is just over one Euro.

Distances
Puerto de Rosario - 12km, Corralejo - 40km, Costa Calma - 53km, Antigua one of the oldest villages in Fuerteventura, the church is worth a visit, a little to the north of Antigua is El Molino, a windmill in the La Manchan style.
Los Lobos a 15 minute ferry ride from Corralejo, cost about €5 per person (return). Lanzarote is 20 minutes away by ferry from Corralejo.

Further details
Plenty of supermarkets in the area, the closes is across the road in the Broncemar beach resort, a welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar, water and wine is provided. Telephones outside on the main road, local sim cards can be purchased in the Atlantico shopping centre if required, tops ups are available in most supermarkets. The cheapest place to make telephone calls and use the internet is at Locutorio, which is on the side of Caleta Gardens opposite Crazy corner. Cash point machines are by the shops. Shops, restaurants and bars all within a few minutes walk form the complex. Leisure activities include crazy golf, wind surfing, jet skiing, Cinema and ten pin bowling alley in the Atlantico shopping centre, diving, fishing, golf, cycling and many more. Booking notes
There is a £50 non-returnable deposit per week required to secure your booking. The balance due 6 weeks before departure. A £150 refundable deposit payable before departure to cover damage/breakages. If the booking is cancelled before the balance is paid the deposit will not be refunded. If the booking is cancelled after the balance has been paid there will be a cancellation charge; alternate weeks at a reduced rate can be offered subject to availability. Please ask for details.

Hi Jim We had a super week at your apartment. The position is ideal being so close to everything. There are so many good restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk. There have certainly been a lot of changes in Caleta de Fuste since we were last there in 1987 but in our opinion the changes have been for the good. We would have no hesitation in recommending your apartment to friends/ family and would hope to use it in the future if we could. You are very lucky having it where it is.
