Welcome to Our Home in The Canary Islands. A little piece of paradise in El Cotillo, Fuerteventura, where the sun is warm, the beaches inviting and the sea glows with turquoise. We first discovered Fuerteventura whilst on a day trip from Lanzarote in 2002 and fell in love with the laid back lifestyle of the island. We visited about 5 times in that first year and then decided to put down roots - that is how this apartment in El Cotillo came to be our wonderful place in the sun. | Bedrooms: | The bedroom is large, bright and spacious. It has a king size bed with a double fitted wardrobe with shelving inside. Two sets of chest of draws and bedside cabinets with storage and lighting. |
| Bathrooms: | The bathroom is tiled throughout and has wash basin, WC, bidet and a full size bath/shower. |
| Kitchen: | The kitchen has a large granite worktop, which is home for kettle, toaster and fresh coffee maker. We have an electric 4 hobs oven, fridge/freezer and a microwave. It also has everything you probably would find in your cupboards at home. |
| Utility Room: | Automatic washing machine with iron and ironing board are also included. |
| Living Rooms: | The lounge is an open-planned area to the kitchen. Here you will find furnishings of the highest quality, decorated also to blend in with its fittings. |
| Other: | A private accessed roof terrace where you will enjoy a sheltered pergola with raised decking, sun lounges, dining table with chairs, shower attachment and a chimney BBQ. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
We have a manager nearby should you need any assistance, and will also see that towels and linen are provided and weekly. NEW.. We now provide Beach Towels for the duration of your stay as part of our on-going service at no extra cost to yourselves |

Notes on accommodation
Having stayed in many apartments ourselves in the past we have tried to add touches to our apartment that have not been available in others i.e. Iron, Hairdryer, TV, DVD with large selection of films; Music centre with IPod Docking, a selection of music CDs and many other electrical appliances for your convenience.
There is also a cool bag and beach chairs to take to the beach. Even Fishing equiptment should you feel the need to catch your own supper!
We have also included a washing machine that is especially useful for guests staying two weeks or more and a digital safe.
Outside
The apartment has 2 sets of French doors in the lounge leading to a long balcony ideal for eating 'alfresco' or sipping your morning coffee. Watching the sunrise is amazing. The roof terrace is accessed by your own lockable doorway up one flight of stairs and is very private and secure. Naturist Friendly, it gives views on one side of the mountains, the beach and lagoons the other. As it is south facing you see the sunrise in the mornings, sunsets in the evenings. The sheltered pergola with raised decking, sun lounges, dining table, chairs and a chimney BBQ make this area our favourite place; water and power are also there for use. We even have a shower attachment fitted to cool you off on those hot days laying around. At night, stand on the roof terrace and your first Spanish lesson could be: ‘Eestrella del Mar’ this means ‘Stars over the Sea’ This will become apparent as the sun goes down and the stars appear at night. A picture to see, as words are not enough to describe the sight.
Coast/Beach
The main draw for visitors to El Cotillo has to be its array of beautiful white sandy beaches around the lagoons. Unlike many of the Canary Islands, Fuerteventura has an abundance of white sandy beaches blown directly across from the Sahara. It was the lagoons that attracted us to El Cotillo in the first place and certainly the reason we wanted to buy our Apartment in El Cotillo here. All within a 10-15min walk.
Golf
The nearest Golf Course is Approx 40mins drive.
Travel
El Cotillo is approx 30-40 mins drive from the main airport of Puerto del Rosario and will take you through some of the most spectacular views you could imagine. We just love that journey as we know our holiday as only just started.

Further details
The Town of El Cotillo Fuerteventura was, and to a certain extent still is, a small fishing village. It is pronounced by the locals El Coa-tee-yo. Situated on the northwest corner of the island; It is here you will find the ‘laid back’ way of life we often dream about whilst back at our own homes.
The main heart of the village is the new fishing harbour. Just a 10min walk where in the early mornings you can watch the local fishermen returning with their daily catch to supply the local restaurants. Now you can’t get fresher than that.
In the evenings, a gentle stroll around the Old or New harbour is where you will find the restaurants (No loud bars here) serving wonderful food and wines.
