Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week for 4 persons in UK pounds. Extra persons are £50 per person. Babies are free up to 2 years old. Discounts for long term lets can be arranged. The pool is heated on request from November to April charged at £50 per week. 10% off last minute bookings* (less than 3 weeks before departure).

Changeover day
Changeover days are Thursdays but we are very flexible and can usually work something out.

Accommodation

Notes on accommodation
There is strictly no smoking inside the villa but outside is permitted, ash trays are supplied. No pets. The villa is suitable for children and the elderly. There is a driveway with parking for 2 cars. A welcome pack/food parcel can be provided at an extra cost. Also a high chair can be provided.

Accessibility
We feel the villa is more than suitable for those with mobility problems. As the villa is all on one level it is easy to get around, even by wheelchair, door access is also wide enough to accomodate wheelchairs. If you have any questions regarding this please feel free to contact us and we will do our best to help you.

Outside
The villa has a big patio area and a well planted garden. There are sun loungers to relax around by the pool and chairs to sit round the table. The swimming pool is rectangular, 7x3m and is heated on request during winter months (Nov - April). We also have a built in BBQ for all those enthusiasts.

Coast/Beach
From our villa a 15 - 20 min walk will take you to Playa Dorada beach. It runs for about half a mile with soft sand and clear blue waters. Playa Flamingo beach is to the right of the harbour, this too has a sandy beach. The best beaches in our opinion are the Papagayo beaches. These can be reached by a 5 min car journey. They have clear blue waters ideal for snorkeling.

Golf
There are no golf courses in Playa Blanca at the moment but if you travel to Costa Teguise you will find an 18 hole golf coarse set in among the volcanic hills. Its about a 45 minute drive by car. There is a 9 hole pitch and putt and mini golf along the sea front.

Travel
The airport in Lanzarote is Arrecefi. It takes approx 30 mins by car to Playa Blanca and is 35km away. Car hire is recommended, but taxi's are readily available for those who do not wish to drive. We may also be able to arrange pick up's from the airport if required. The nearest ferry port is in Playa Blanca approx 1.5km from our villa.

Distances
By car you can drive round Lanzarote in a day, as Playa Blanca is at the southern most part of the island everywhere is north. Costa Teguise has a great fun filled water park, an 18 hole golf coarse and is great for wind-surfing. Puerto del Carmen is the nightlife capital of the island, has many shops and loads of restaurants, clubs and bars, 20 mins by car. Tias is famous for its wine, producing some very good quality stuff. Last Minute Travel is a good company for day trips.

Further details
Playa Blanca has a pedestrianized town with plenty of shops, a supermarket, ladies clothes shops, banks ect. Bars and restaurants are on the seafront. There is a promenade which leads along the front to The International Marina Rubicon. This is a brand new marina with very stylish shops and fantastic restaurants/bars. Some good art shops too. Leisure activities include jet/water skiing, diving, snorkeling, cycling, fishing, tennis, bowling, horse riding, wind-surfing, swimming, quad biking or just plain sun bathing. Also take the ferry to Futerventura, it only takes 15 minutes by sea cat and you do not need the car.

Booking notes
A deposit of 25% is required on booking, then the balance to be paid 6 weeks before departure. A separate £100 will be held as a breakages deposit until our villa has been checked over. Then returned to you if everything is ok.

Guest comments
We stayed at Villa Ripley during the Feb 08 half term. Instructions from the owners to the villa was very precise and getting there from the airport in our car was no problem. When we walked through the door we were honestly amazed! The Villa was so beautiful and well equipped that I would describe it as better than home from home! The rooms were beautifully decorated and spotless.
My family consisted of two adults and three children and we were very comfortable. The owners provided play station with games, cable TV, stereo/CD player, DVD with a superb DVD library with the latest films, books, info on the Islands. There was nothing missing. Playa Blanca in my opinion has more class than anywhere else on the Island. We were out everyday but the children would pester us to go 'home' to enjoy the villa's pool and bath like temperature. Honestly I’m not one for giving praise or doing reviews, but credit where credits due Villa Ripley is luxury at an amazing price, couldn’t fault it.
