This fully equipped 2 bedroom apartment is in a small exclusive block of 12. The village of San Marcos is a small fishing village just a short way from the town of Icod. The beach, bars and restaurants are only a 5 minute walk away. Notwithstanding the drop in the £, you can still get beer got £1.00, a litre of wine £5 and a good meal for £5! The apartment is on a headland and has stunning sea views on 2 sides with a view of the mountains on the other. The large balcony comfortably seats 4 for alfresco dining. An ideal place to relax and chill out!

The nearest airport is Tenerife North (45 mins by car) but Tenerife South has more regular flights. A car would be an advantage from Tenerife South, but there is a regular bus services from both airports. Parking is no problem.

Nearest town is Icod de los Vinos (3km), Puerta de la Cruz (25km).

Just a note to tell you how much we enjoyed our 3 weeks in Playa San Marcos. As we went into the apartment for the first time and saw the view, we both said "Wow!" and we continued to be wowed by that view every day of our holiday. The weather was extremely kind to us - 1/2 day of rain, the odd cloudy hours, but mainly wall-to-wall sunshine and lovely and hot. The apartment is the best accommodation we've stayed at in our many years of self-catering, for its position, decoration and equipment. We also found some fantastic walks not too far away.

About the owner
We live in Torquay, which is in a beautiful part of the world. We travel to San Marcos whenever we can, but work commitments restrict the number of times we can visit at the moment. We love the relaxing atmosphere and are very content just "chilling out", with a glass of wine on the balcony, and looking out to sea. A client one said, "We have travelled all around Tenerife, and have decided that the view form your balcony is the best view of all" We are now in our mid 50's and look forward to the time when we can spend more time on this lovely Island. They call it the land of the Eternal Spring!

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
San Marcos is situated in the quiet, north part of the island, well away from the hustle and bustle of the South. Over the last 20 years, various members of our family have visited and owned property in San Marcos. This fishing port has a very "local" feel about it, as all visitors are made to feel very welcome. Over the years, we have made many friends and made to feel very much part of the community.

Unique benefits of the property
The apartment is situated on a headland, so both the master bedroom and lounge open directly facing San Marcos Bay. These rooms both have concertina doors that open fully to allow the sound of the waves to be heard. The second bedroom has a small balcony that overlooks Monis Bay. Once on the balcony, that encompasses two sides of the property, there are more stunning views. As we like nothing more than to relax in our apartment, we have a selection of books, that you are welcome to borrow. If you haven't completed it before you leave, you are welcome to take it, but please leave another in its place. There are some DVDs but these should not leave the apartment.
