The sitting room (with satellite television and DVD/CD player) is filled with light, everything you want for an unforgettable holiday with family and friends is here. You're just minutes away from the Tauro championship golf course, beautiful beaches, fabulous restaurants and the local, well-stocked food store. The rental pricing is based on 6 persons occupying. An additional amount will be charged for each extra person above 6 persons.

Changeover day can be flexible if bookings permit.

| Living Rooms: | Spacious lounge (30 square metre) with views over the valley. It has a 55" Pioneer top of the range TV with CD/DVD player and satellite TV with surround sound cinema effect. Dining room area with a table seating 10 people. |
| Other: | Wi-Fi internet facility is available with a speed of upto 8 megabytes. If you have a wi-fi enabled computer you can access the internet up to a maximum of 10 metres from the first floor study where the router is located. |

Towels and linen for interior use are provided. Property is cleaned once per week when all linen and towels will be changed. There is an obligatory additional €120 for the final clean of the villa. |

Back garden to house is lovely to chill in during the day and is spectacularly lit at night. There is a sun terrace with hammocks and gas barbecue. Outside the kitchen is a dining area with an 8 seater table, where you will unquestionably spend most of your time either relaxing, reading or eating.
Coast/Beach
15 minutes walk to beaches. Spectacular public beach of Amadores is within 25 minutes walk or 5 minutes car ride away.
Golf
Anfi Tauro Golf course is 3 minutes from the house; an 18 hole Championship course designed by Van Hagge. A Par 3 course plus practice driving range is situated in the valley close to the main golf course. Salobre, Melonares and Maspalomas golf courses are within 15/20 minutes of the house by car. El Cortijo and Bandama (the oldest golf club in Spain) are 35-50 minutes respectively from the house by car.
Special interest holidays
Mountain walks are freely accessible and the start point for two of the principal walks are two minutes from the house - Tauro to Playa del Cura and Mogan and/or Tauro to Arguineguin.
Travel
Las Palmas airport is 30 mins away from the house and is well served by Easyjet.com and Ryanair.com from both Ireland and UK airports (Bournemouth, Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Stansted, Luton and Gatwick) as well as other operators from London Gatwick and Manchester. Aer Lingus fly from Dublin and Belfast with various charter operators from Belfast, Aberdeen and Glasgow.
Distances
Nearest tourist town is Puerto Rico which is 5/10 minutes away by car or taxi and has all amenities including shops, restaurants and bars etc.
Further details
There is a local SPAR supermarket in the valley (10 minutes walk) and a local restaurant beside the supermarket. There is also another SPAR supermarket at Playa del Cura (5 minutes by car). If you would like a more comprehensive variety of food there is a SPAR and a El Corte Ingles supermarket in Arguineguin (15 minutes away by car).

The villa is available for various weeks during the year. 20% deposit is required when booking with the final 80% due 8 weeks before arrival.

About the owner
I live in the UK most of the time as well as Gran Canaria. I am now semi-retired and enjoy the benefits of a wonderful climate in Gran Canaria where I can play golf at the Tauro Championship course and walk in the hills above Tauro.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
I bought the land in Tauro in 2000 after a friend had told me about the extraordinary air/climate in the area of Tauro. The World Health Organisation has designated the south west coast of Gran Canaria, which includes Tauro, as the healthiest climate in the world. That is why the Norwegian government send asthma sufferers to Tauro to help in the elimination of their symptoms. I started designing and then building the house in 2004 and completed it in February 2005. It is my "dream home"; is semi-circular in build looking out over the wonderful Tauro valley to the sea beyond. The house has been built to a high quality and is completed to a UK standard. Unique benefits of the property
You will enjoy the tranquillity of the house which is at the top of Tauro valley looking over the valley and golf course out to sea. The views are wonderful especially at sunset. Whilst you have quietness and tranquillity the beach and the bustling town of Puerto Rico, with it's night life, are only 5 minutes away by car/taxi. The house has every modern facility which includes a (upto) 6 megabyte ADSL line with wifi which enables you to surf up to 12 metres from the study on the first floor.
