This apartment overlooks the sensational Jandia beach which has fine golden sand and extends for 14 miles. The balcony which is south facing gets the sun all day and has great views of the spectacular evening sunsets. There are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants close to the apartment with 2 small supermarkets within 100 yds and late night disco bars 500 yds away. There are 24 hr medical facilities close by. Being close to the Sahara desert the summers are hot and the winters warm with little rain occasionally, thus there is an all year round holiday season.

Changeover day
Changeover day is entirely flexible, come when it suits you, arriving after 2pm and leaving before 12am to allow for cleaning and checks, facilities can be arranged for early arrivals or late departures.

Bedrooms: The bedroom has a double bed, sliding mirror door wardrobe and a chest of drawers, there is a safe hidden in the wardrobe, the combination will be provided on arrival. All bedlinen, bath and beach towels are supplied.
Bathrooms: The bathroom has a sink in the marble top of the vanity unit, a walk in shower and access through to the toilet.
The walls and floor are marble throughout the bathroom and toilet.
Kitchen: The kitchen with granite worktops has a 4 plate ceramic hob, multifunction oven, a fridge with freezing compartment, microwave, sandwich toaster, kettle and coffee maker. Cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils are provided.
Utility Room: A washing machine and a clothes drying rack are supplied in order to reduce the amount of clothes you need to pack.
Living Rooms: The living room with patio door to the balcony has a double bed sofa a coffee table, a dining table with 4 chairs, a cooling fan, a television with satellite receiver, a DVD player with a selection of DVDs. Internet access and a computer can be arranged.
Other: The balcony commands a great view of the beach and sea and is not overlooked, it is furnished with a table and 4 chairs for a sunny breakfast or an alfresco evening meal while watching the movements of passing cruise liners and fishing vessels.

Bath towels, beach towels and bedlinen are provided. An initial supply of drinking water, soap, shampoo, washing up liquid, bleach, kitchen paper towels and toilet rolls are also provided.

Notes on accommodation
Casa Atlantica is in the middle of Jandia separated from the beach only by a nature reserve which is approximately 200 yds wide, access to the beach is via a wooden bridge crossing the nature reserve. There is a 4 lane walking, jogging, cycling track running alongside most of the beach.
Apartmento 8016 is on the ground floor of Block B of Casa Atlantica and is on an elevated site which provides an excellent view of the beach and sea, access is via an elevator from the street level.
Casa Atlantica is one of the oldest buildings in Jandia and because tourists mingle with the very friendly locals it is easy to quickly feel part of the community. In most of the bars and restaurants you will find bar staff and waiters who have fond memories of Casa Atlantica.

Accessibility
Jandia is very wheelchair friendly however wheelchair access to the apartment is dependant on the lift.

Outside
At the street level there are relaxing bars, restaurants, shops and ice cream parlours in both directions however the late night disco bars are 500 yds away in the Cosmo Shopping Centre. Jandia is next to the old fishing village of Morro Jable at the south west end of Fuerteventura and is well known for its 14 mile beach of fine golden sand. Most of the beach is clothes optional. At night Jandia is friendly, busy, safe and not at all tacky like some of the other Canary Island resorts.
Morro Jable fishing village can be walked to using a charming paved footpath running along the edge of the sea, here are some very Spanish shops, restaurants, fish restaurants, bars and tapas bars (some serving food until 1 am. Taxis are easily available and inexpensive.

Coast/Beach
There are beaches all around the island, some on the northern coast are spectacularly beautiful but subject to strong currents. Car hire is inexpensive and the island offers much to explore.

Special interest holidays
Jandia beach has calm waters for swimming and some stretches suitable for surfing. There are surfing, wind surfing and diving schools. Other activities include boat trips, fishing trips, sailing, tennis, high speed power boat rides and submarine trips. Close by are botanical gardens, camel rides, animal park, golf courses and some spectacular volcanic landscape with mountain passes and unspoilt local villages. Jandia has an open market on Thursdays.

Travel
Jandia is 62 miles from the airport, A2B transfers offer return travel to Jandia for approximately £30 per person and the journey takes about 65 minutes.
Taxis are available from the airport and private transport can be arranged at the time of booking.
