Las Brisas is a large complex of bungalows originally developed by Wimpey with some of the properties being time-shared. Due to its efficient management and superb facilities it has for many years been granted R C I Gold Crown Resort status. The site facilities include a well-stocked shop, snack bar/restaurant and bar plus pool tables all of which are poolside. Seating for family entertainment which takes place several times per week in the evenings is also by the bar area and has been enclosed by glass panels so that it is available for use all year round. There is also a big screen TV for important sports fixtures and a separate games room for children. A children’s playground is located by the pool and tennis courts which are floodlit at night also add to the facilities. The pool area is immense with padded sun loungers and thatched sunshades provided for your comfort. The swimming pool is very large and there is a separate children’s pool, which are both heated.

Notes on accommodation
A portable electric heater is provided for cool winter evenings. A cot and highchair can be hired. Free wi-fi is available in the villa and throughout the complex and a static computer is available in the main reception area of the complex. The air conditioning is charged according to usage.

A golden sandy beach is within 5 minutes walk and 2 further beaches within 20 minutes walk. The Dorada beach has water sports.

All local amenities within 2 minutes walk of the complex. The harbour is 5 minutes walk and has a regular ferry to Fuerteventura and also other boat trips. The new Marina Rubicon is 5 minutes drive away with good quality restaurants, bars and shops. Diving school nearby. Markets held 2 x weekly.

About the owner
We are Paul and Christine Collins and we live in Poole, Dorset with our 2 teenage daughters.We have been taking them to Playa Blanca since they were born so we know a little about taking a family on holiday there. We love holidays and have been to many parts of the world but Lanzarote has a unique charm which we haven't found anywhere else.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We bought our first property in 1987 as we wanted a holiday location that we could visit all year round without worrying about the weather as it is generally hot in the summer and warm in the winter. We feel at home here as the area has a relaxed easy atmosphere and we start enjoying our holiday the minute we arrive. We also feel safe and comfortable with our daughters as there is a good mix of families and couples and different nationalities.
Unique benefits of the property
Las Brisas was one of the first developments to be built in Playa Blanca and hence has an unrivalled position as being close ( but not too close) to the town centre. We were very lucky to get a villa in such a good position on the complex as this is because it isn't far from the pool but no noise can be heard from the pool area and the ooutlook from the patio is onto a lovely mature garden and not the rear of another house as many villas in this complex have. We have extended the terrace so that it has the benefit of the sun all the day round. We completely refurbished this villa in 2006 and it now has extensive granite surfaces, new kitchen and bathrooms.
