There is a bus stop 60m away which takes you into town with its excellent selection of shops, banks and restaurants. 700m from Rubicon Marina and Papagayo.

Changeover day
Preferred changeover day is Thursday but we can be flexible out of season.

Notes on accommodation
This property is ideal for families and couples who enjoy the beach, excellent restaurants, walking, swimming, cycling, horse and camel riding, all the water sports and generally relaxing by the pool.
For persons who have difficulty going upstairs there is a bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor.
We have a 'STRICTLY NO SMOKING' policy.
Accessibility
This property is ideal for 1 or 2 persons with a wheelchair. There is a downstairs twin bedroom and bathroom. The house and sun deck are easily accessable.
Outside
Outside there is a garden and patio with a large table and 6 chairs. There are also 6 sun loungers provided for the sun terrace. At the rear of the house is a solana with a barbecue.
Coast/Beach
The house is situated about 50m from the coast.
To the east there are the natural beaches of Papagayo. These are often claimed to be the most beautiful beaches in all of Spain. These are about 20 minutes walk over terrain or 10 minutes by car. To the west is the Rubicon Marina. A large modern marina built to a traditional Canarian design with many wonderful restaurants. There are watersports available such as diving, dinghy racing, sark fishing, catamaram and yacht hiring, and jet skiing.
Golf
There are excellent full size 18 hole golf courses at Puerto Del Carmen & Costa Teguise, about 25 & 35 minutes drive from the house. There is also a 9 hole par 3 course at the Princess Yaiza Hotel 5 mins drive from Casa Debbie. Five other golf courses are planned for opening in the near future.
Special interest holidays
Cycling- Lanzarote is a fabulous island for cycling. Many keen cyclists train here in the winter and there is also the world famous Iron man triathlon held every May. 'Papagayo Bikes' (on 0034606109765) can deliver to your door the latest Mountain and Road bikes from Trek, Ribble, Merida and Scott from 10€ per day. The roads are brilliant for road cycling and there are very challenging courses through the volcanic park for mountain biking.
Travel
The only airport is at Arricefe. This is about 25 minute drive from the house. You can hire a car from the airport, we can arrange a private collection for 30 euros, or you can hire a Taxi.
We do recommend that you a hire a car so you can see the many wonderful sights of Lanzarote but it isn't essential. There is a free bus service that takes you into town from the hotel next door.

The house is about:- 50m from the coast. 700m from the Rubicon Marina and Papagayo. 1km from Dorado beach with its golden sands and watersports. 1.5km from the town centre. 2km from the ferry port to Fuerteventura. 8km from Timanfaya (the volcanic park). 16km from the nearest 18 hole golf course. 18km from the airport.
Further details
Five minutes walk away there is a large supermarket, car hire office and small cafe. The local bus takes you into town where there are an excellent selection of shops, banks and restaurants. Next door to the complex is a Doctor's surgery.

Just to say how much we all enjoyed our stay at 'Casa Debbie' - it's a lovely property and a smashing complex. I also wish that we had at home the same mattress that you have over there - the most comfortable I've slept on for many years! We had a brilliant week, and as first-timers to Lanzarote regard ourselves as fortunate having chosen Playa Blanca - we visited Puerto del Carmen and Costa Teguise and didn't much like either.It occurred to me several times whilst we were there how your excellent website can't really do justice to just how spacious the house is, and how attractive and peaceful the Iris complex is.We would not hesitate to recommend your property to friends who may be considering a visit to Lanzarote.

About the owner
We live in England with our 3 children, dog, 2 cats and 8 chickens.
We first visited Lanzarote in 1993 and fell in love with its all year round warm climate, its beautiful beaches, and great choice of restaurants. We owned a very busy Pizzeria and couldn't get away in the summer months. We wanted the sunshine at the half terms in October and February. Lanzarote was the perfect location. We kept coming back year after year and so we decided to buy our own house.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We chose Casa Debbie because it is ideally situated between the beautiful beaches of Papagayo and the excellent restaurants of the Marina Rubicon. It is in the best location in the whole island for families and couples. Playa Blanca has the most sunshine and the least wind. Casa Debbie is only 50 metres from the sea, with lovely coastal walks along the promenade, with beautiful views of Fuerteventura.
Unique benefits of the property
It is a very spacious 3 bedroom house with a large swimming pool and sun deck. It makes an ideal family holiday with everything you need in the house, great beaches, all the watersports and a different place to eat every night. The island is also great for my favourite past times, cycling and tennis.
