Casa las Anclas is situated in the heart of Playa Blanca, 50 metres from the promenade and less than two minutes walk from the nearest beach. This apartment is ideal for a really relaxing holiday. It is ideally placed for all the local shops and restaurants. Its superb location means any walking you do will be completely of your own choice and hire of a car is unnecessary unless you want to visit other locations on the island. It is ideal for families, couples or two couples holidaying together. The apartment is extremely well equipped. It has a double bedroom and twin beds, it normally accommodates up 4 people and there is also a Z bed in the lounge for a fifth. The apartment has satellite TV/radio and CD/DVD. The lounge and each bedroom have ceiling fans. The kitchen is well-equipped. The French windows open onto the balcony, which has virtually all day sunshine and offers a view onto the fascinating Calle Limones, pedestrianised high street.

Please note that the apartment was formerly numbered 34b, but the street was renumbered in 2009 by the Spanish post office to 42b.
Accessibility
Whilst the apartment is on a the first floor (roof terrace is a further flight), the apartment is very close to all the amenities.
Outside
The roof terrace has two parts, the front, which affords views across Playa Blanca and across the Playa Dorada bay, and the rear, which is completely secluded.
Coast/Beach
The Playa Blanca promenade is 50 metres from the apartment. The Playa Blanca promenade extends for 3 miles in each direction along the coast and represents possibly one of the best coastal walks in Europe. The nearest beach is less than 2 minutes walk. The superb Playa Dorada beach is less than 10 minutes walk. A short walk along Calle Limones will provide a view of the fascinating harbour where the ferries depart for Fuerteventura and pleasure trips around the area can be boarded.
Golf
The nearest golf course is approximately 30 minutes drive.
Special interest holidays
Playa Blanca offers great opportunity for those interested in a Diving holiday. Beginners can take advantage of the local diving schools that provide both equipment and instruction.
Lanzarote is a popular island for Cycling. There are bicycle hire shops in Playa Blanca that should be able to meet your needs. There is a pool available for public use at the Marina Rubicon area for a few euros per day.
If you like to Run or jog, then the Playa Blanca promenade is an ideal route.
There is a very pleasant Golf course on the island, approximately 40 minutes drive away.
Travel
Playa Blanca is 32 kilometers from the airport at Arrecife. Car hire is unnecessary whilst staying in the apartment unless you wish to visit other locations on the island. However, please mention in your enquiry if you need car hire or airport transfer.

The apartment is literally in the heart of Playa Blanca close to all the amenities, and yet quiet and peaceful.
Further details
Lanzarote has many interesting attractions for such a small island. A visit to the Timanfaya National Park is a must for first-time visitors. Playa Blanca is a beautiful and relaxed resort with a delightful promenade, interesting shops and superb restaurants. Evening entertainment is available for those who like to spend pleasant relaxing evenings rather than expend lots of energy. The Canary Island climate is ideal for both Winter and Summer holidays. Winter daytime temperatures average about 20 degrees and summer temperatures about 30. Typically there is an accompanying light breeze that makes every day feel pleasant and comfortable. Annual rainfall is approximately 4 inches.
Booking notes
If the owner receives a booking request, the requested period is provisionally reserved. When the guests have arranged their flight the booking is confirmed and a 20% deposit is paid. The balance is paid within 6 weeks of the start of the stay.

About the owner
John and Lynn Hunter are the proud owners of Casa las Anclas. We live and work in Cheshire and travel as frequently as possible to beautiful Playa Blanca. We have four grown up children and now three lovely grandchildren. When not coming to Playa Blanca, we spend our leisure time in the Lake District. John is a keen golfer, a sports fan and an amateur musician. Lynn is quite an accomplished family genealogist and has put together an impressive family history.
Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We have been coming to Playa Blanca since 1997. We loved it so much it became our only overseas holiday destination. No stay is long enough. In 2005 we decided that if we were rarely going anywhere else, it would make sense to buy somewhere. We wanted somewhere central in the town and were lucky enough to come across Casa las Anclas. It was a bit of a risk for us as we are not rich people, but we decided to take a change and despite the recent economic downturn and the property market problems, we have never regretted our decision. Apparently, it is quite rare for non-Spanish people to own places in the town centre, so we feel quite lucky to have bought it.
Unique benefits of the property
We find the same benefits as all our guests. The location is wonderful as you are in the nicest part of Playa Blanca (and it is all nice) close to the shops, the beach and the restaurants, and yet it is very quiet. We love to sit on the balcony and people watch. And we also like to go up on to the roof terrace for a barbecue, or just a quiet drink and a sit, gazing over to Playa Dorada, Fuerteventura or the impressive Ajache Grande mountain.
