Jardín del Sol is conveniently situated on a small, peaceful complex but within a few minutes walk of all that Playa Blanca has to offer. Playa Blanca is a flourishing yet tranquil resort with beautiful beaches bordered by a picturesque restaurant-lined promenade. This fully-furnished, two bedroomed bungalow is south facing with a communal pool with it's own patio and garden. The complex lies opposite the harbour and is less than 10 minutes walk from the town centre with its good choice of bars, restaurants and shops. Playa Flamingo is the closest beach (just a 4 minute walk), it has white sand and is family-friendly with loungers, parasols and restaurants. There is also a beach at the main harbour, and Playa Dorada is a short stroll through the town. The vast, deserted beaches of the Papagayo region are easily accessible by car. The resort is ideal for couples and families.

Changeover day
Changeover day is usual on a Thursday but this is flexible. Check in time is 2pm and check out 10 am.

Notes on accommodation
There are two plug in electric fans and an electric heater. The accommodation is suitable for children of all ages. There is a fold away spare bed and additional beds can be provided.
Easy access for ambulant persons. Approach areas are prominently flat with easy access to promenade, shops, restaurants and town centre.
Outside
The spacious patio contains; two sun loungers, table with four chairs, parasol, potted plants and a barbeque.
Coast/Beach

Golf
There is a championship golf course at Costs Teguise, approx. 30 mins drive. There are also several mini-golf courses within walking distance.
Travel
The airport in situated in Arrecife, approx. 30 minutes drive. There are an abundance of car hire companies and taxis are available. There is not a necessity for a car as all local amenities are a few minutes walkaway.
Distances
Timanfaya National park is approx. 15 minutes drive. There are 50 km² of Volcanic Landscape and Craters, as well as the 'El Diablo' Restaurant where traditional Canarian food is cooked in a natural volcanic oven.
Cave of Los Verdes - La Cueva de los Verdes forms part of a spectacular and complex system of caves formed by underground Lava flows.
Jameos del Agua is a cave complex that includes a natural Concert Hall with wonderful acoustics, subterranean lagoon and a restaurant.
Further details
The centre of the village of Playa Blanca is a 10 minute walk across the sea fronted promenade. There are an abundance of shops, restaurants, banks and supermarkets. The sports centre at La Santa is in the north east of the island and is a 30 minute drive away. The old capital at Teguise hosts a weekly Sunday market.
Booking notes
A deposit of £100, plus a security deposit of £100 for any major breakages, is due with payment of balance 8 weeks before departure (this will be refunded in full on your return to the UK).

About the owner
We are Andy and Imelda Postlethwaite from (not so sunny...) Epsom in Surrey. We purchased 7 Jardin del Sol in 2005 for it's long temp investment and rental potential. This together with the Island's 52 week sunshine and holidays children seemed a perfect opportunity to purchase for both ourselves and our children's future.
