This attractive duplex apartment has recently undergone a complete refurbishment.This included a complete replacement kitchen with granite topped breakfast bar.The lounge area boasts a double bed settee, and roomy storage unit. Upstairs the smart new bathroom has a walk-in shower,vanity mirror with light above,and a power source for shaver,or to use the supplied hair dryer. Set over 2 floors,there are sea views from upper balcony,a delightful spot from which to enjoy your morning coffee,or evening glass of wine.The lower terrace has a patio furniture on which to eat meals,or just relax and bask in the sun.The south facing aspect means you can enjoy the sunshine all day. A private location situated in a peaceful corner of the complex. Ashtrays provided for smoking outside only.

Patio doors lead to both upper and lower terraces, with patio table and chairs.There are large communal areas set in well maintained gardens,with individual planted areas in front of each apartment Plenty of sunbeds and a barbecue area around the pools are for everyones use.The large shared swimming pool has separate childrens' pool, divided from the main area by a picturesque water fall.
Coast/Beach
The apartment is a 7 minute stroll from the lovely sandy beach ,Matagorda Bay. The pedestrian promenade is ideal for walking,and it is possible to go all the way to Arrecife in one direction, or the old town of Puerto del Carmen in the other.The promenade has outdoor gym equipment and both bicycles and tricycles can be hired locally.
Golf
Close to the new Puerto del Carmen golf course, and a short drive to the Costa Teguise course.
Travel
Arrecife Airport is 10 minutes away and €10 - €12 in a taxi. There is a good local bus service between Arrecife and Puerto del Carmen Old Town. There are also special buses to the large Teguise market on Sundays. Many tours are available to see the sights of the island, or for a day trip, there is a ferry to the neighbouring island of Fuertaventura.
Distances
It is a 7 minute walk to the lovely sandy beach ,and also the many restaurants and bars of Matagorda Park.There is a good variety of eating places which include Spanish,Japanese,Chinese and British food-something for everyone . Matagorda is about 3 km from the lively centre of Puerto del Carmen where you will find an array of bars, night clubs and a top class casino.
Further details
Matagorda offers peace and tranquility with a friendly atmosphere. Supermarkets and cash machines are a few minutes away. Puerto del Carmen has many water sports, scuba diving, boat trips, childrens' play parks, mini golf, shops and cafes. After dark, Puerto del Carmen is buzzing with bars, fun pubs and night clubs, for those who want to party the night away. For children, the water park, bird park or Rancho Texas animal park ,are a great day out,and of course sandcastles on the beach are always popular.The hotel down the road has child orientated shows some evenings,and all are welcome.This is also a handy spot for a meal on the evenings you want to be close to home. This location will appeal to all, it is no wonder guests return year after year to enjoy the friendliness and sunshine Lanzarote has to offer.

About the owner
We are a retired couple who always dreamt of having a place in the sun. Now we have our winter hideaway and are delighted with it. We can share our good fortune with our four children and eleven grand children and it is a pleasure to be able to do that.
Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We had been looking for a holiday home for a few years,mainly in southern Spain. Then fate,in the form of a family wedding,brought us to Lanzarote.One trip and we were hooked.
