The bungalow is situated in a quiet, pretty and privately owned complex to the south of the island, approx 20 minutes by taxi from Las Palmas airport. There is a communal pool with a spacious, private balcony overlooking the sea. A shared beach is just moments away from the bungalow. There are two bedrooms (double/twin), fully fitted kitchen and open plan living/dining room with satellite in English and German. There is also a small contained garden as part of the bungalow and many flowering shrubs within the community. There are 2 local supermarkets within easy reach of the bungalow and two or three local restaurants. For those who want to pamper themselves there is a brand new spa within walking distance, or one can amble along the seashore towards Maspalomas and Maloneras which provides a more lively atmosphere with large hotels and plenty of dining opportunities. If windsurfing is your pastime, it is on your doorstep, or if golf is an attraction it is a taxi or bus ride away.

Notes on accommodation
There is no air-conditioning but each room has ceiling fans.
Accessibility
The community is on a slope in tiers with steps/ramps to all levels although the ramps are probably not suitable for wheelchairs.
Outside
The community has many shrubs and trees which are well maintained and each bungalow has a garden or terraced area which is looked after by the community. There is a good sized shared pool and at the main entrance to the community there is car rental office where one can prearrange hire in advance of arrival.
Coast/Beach
It is possible to walk from the bungalow along the coastal route, taking in the dunes at Playa del Ingles and on to Faro at Maspalomas and then Maloneras - a good two and half hour walk.
Golf
There are several golf courses on the island which are just a bus or taxi ride away
Special interest holidays
If you like walking, bring your hiking boots and head to the hills - it is well worthwhile.
Travel
Las Palmas airport is approximately 20 minutes from the bungalow by taxi or bus and car hire is available at the entrance to the community.
Distances
Playa del Aguila is a quiet residential resort with San Agustin and Playa del Ingles a short distance away. The markets of San Fernando offer fresh local produce and weekly flea market just 10 minutes by bus. The hypermarket Carrefour and a range of clothing shops can be found in the nearby town of Vecindario. Las Palmas is approximately 45 minutes by bus. To visit the interior of the island it is best to hire a car, and also if you wish to circuit the island which can easily be achieved.
Further details
There are 2 local supermarkets and a couple of restaurants within walking distance of the bungalow. If you enjoy windsurfing, this can be enjoyed locally or at Pozo Izquierda which is towards the airport. The property however is ideal for wishing to escape the bright lights and bustle of the busy resorts. It is tranquil and, although part of a complex, it offers the visitor privacy and seclusion.
