Casa Yaiza is located in a discreet cul de sac of the ‘Pueblo’ and is just a short walk to the local village amenities. The upstairs terrace has superb mountain and some sea views, whilst the ground floor terrace has plenty of seating, plus sunbeds, an excellent sand pit and a very impressive BBQ. The swimming pool is a beautiful kidney shaped pool with waterfall, and is heated both with solar and electric power. There is an aluminium fence around the pool, allowing children to play on the terrace in safety. The mature gardens are well kept, plus there is space for the kids to kick a ball around. Situated in the picturesque rural village of Yaiza, ideally located between Playa Blanca and Puerto del Carmen. Yaiza, twice voted Spain´s prettiest village, is a pretty little market town with a supermarket, chemist, bank, church, Town Hall and square, plus a good selection of restaurants to suit all tastes. Get a feel of the real Lanzarote and see how the locals live.

Notes on accommodation
Highchair needs to be ordered at the time of booking. Very suitable for children of all ages - we lived there with our toddler. Pets need to be discussed at time of booking. The games room features a kitchen area and a large dining table, CD player, dart board and table football.
Accessibility
The property has not been designed for wheelchair access. However, it is a very spacious property and a wheelchair user could easily manage to get around the ground floor.
Outside
Superb kidney shaped pool with waterfall. Heated both with solar and electric, so the temperature should be just right. There is also an aluminium fence around the pool to provide extra protection for toddlers. The BBQ is a bespoke design and is just what you need for cooking the perfect barbie. The terrace, which faces onto the pool and BBQ, is tiled and features a dining table plus sunbeds. Our neighbours are very friendly locals, mainly families, who will happily help out if required. One has a few animals which can sometimes bark! however, please respect their privacy and don´t have too many wild parties.
There is a large pergola for shade, plus a dining table and chairs. Additionally we have a sandpit which is a lovely spot for kiddies to play in. At the side of the house there is plenty of space to kick a ball about. The driveway entrance is very spacious and can fit 4 cars easily. We are pretty pleased with the gardens as well!

About the owner
Hello, my wife and I live just south of Girona in northern Spain. I am a Brit, she's a German and our little lad was born in Lanzarote! We lived on the island for several years before moving to the mainland to be closer to our families.
It is really beautiful here but we do miss the sun during the winter months and the relaxed lifestyle, and are fortunate to get back fairly frequently to the island.
Lanzarote is such a great holiday destination, with so much to do, or so little if you prefer. We really hope that you enjoy it. Saludos!

Why the owner chose a home in this location
Quiet, spacious plot and house, easy walk to Yaiza village centre, plus easy to access the rest of the island. We lived here for 4 years and absolutely loved it. We built the house from scratch, so everything is pretty new and modern. It´s not on any development, so the house is a family house and totally unique. And very roomy - we like our space, so there are plenty of chill out zones. Yaiza is super relaxed with a really good food and wine department - make sure you visit Carlos at La Bodega de Santiago - superb food.
Unique benefits of the property
As above. You are living with the locals, and they are a really friendly bunch, especially in our little cul-de-sac.
As we lived here for a few years, everything works and has been designed to be easy to use, for example, the Sports Room is the perfect venue for hosting a barbie - you can make plenty of noise and Granny and baby asleep in the main house won´t hear you. Also, with the arrival of our little boy we installed the pool fence - now you can relax properly letting the kiddies play around the house. Or in the sandpit - great fun for the littlies.
Also, you are just minutes from walking in the hills, admiring the views and not seeing another soul. Breathing in the fresh air and wondering why you are not staying for longer.
We still holiday here, and we love it.
