A secluded sun terrace surrounds the private pool which is separately gated for safety. You can choose between a shaded dining area located next to your own built-in barbecue, ideal for alfresco dining, or enjoy a more formal dining area with service window to the kitchen. Notes on accommodation

Accessibility
Apart from the upstairs master bedroom the villa is wheel chair friendly. There are no special aids within the villa.

Outside
Mature tropical gardens surround this detached villa shaded by palm trees and an African Flame tree. The heated swimming pool is accessed by steps and measures 7 x 6m tapering. The water is 1.35m deep. If heating is required this can be provided for £50 per week. A sun trap terrace with loungers adjoins the quietly secluded separately gated private pool. A further independent patio area contains a built in BBQ, a table to seat eight, sun chairs, sofa and large sun umbrella. Here there is multi-coloured bougainvillea, frangipani and other exotic shrubs. There are grassy areas on both sides of the villa. A huge roof terrace contains a sofa, armchairs and sun beds overlooking the sea on one side and Mt Teide on the other.

Coast/Beach
From the villa you can see and hear the sea just 50m away. Here it is possible to swim from the rocks with ladders provided. Alternatively walk 3 minutes to a beach. Try surfing, snorkeling, diving, spear fishing, rod fishing all just a stroll from the villa. There are walks from the villa for ramblers. Follow the coastal paths through nature reserves starting in La Caleta. Swim in the hidden coves and sandy beaches on the way. Finish with an iced beer watching the sun set over Gomera.

Golf
Adeje Championship golf course with 27 holes is just 2 minutes drive away. This is where the Spanish Open was held in 2003. Also just within a 20 minute drive other courses include Abama, Golf Las Americas, Golf Del Sur, and Amarilla Golf. Further away is the Ballasteros designed Buenavista Golf and finally there is Golf Real near Santa Cruz, one of Spain's oldest courses. There are two golfing seasons in Tenerife:
High season – 1st November 2011 – 30th April 2012. Low season – 1st May 2012 – 30th October 2012. You can book your tee times through the individual web sites. Please contact owner for details. All courses have professionals available for coaching.

Travel
Tenerife South airport is 20 minutes by car. Los Cristianos ferry port is 20 minutes. Ferries leave here for La Gomera. The nearby motorway TF1 gives easy access to the whole island. Hire car is recommended but not essential.

Further details
Casa Madreselva is in the heart of the village 2 minutes from a supermarket and ATM. Regular buses service the county town of Adeje with it's unique Canarian flavour. Just 10 minutes walk away is the magnificent Bahia Del Duque beach, restaurant and shopping area. Underground car parking available. A newly created highly popular seafront walkway of 15km runs from La Caleta to Los Cristianos. The walk brings you past fine hotels, shops, a large marina, and many restaurants and bars. With it's renowned seafood speciality restaurants, tapas bars people travel for miles to enjoy La Caleta.

About the owner
The owners of this beautiful villa have lived in La Caleta for 15 years and have watched the village blossom into what it is today. We lived comfortably in Casa Madreselva with our children who were free to partake in all of the activities without parental worry! Cleaning is carried out by our own cleaning help who is both familiar with us and with the villa. No hiding place when it comes to hygiene!

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We bought this lovely villa as new. Architect designed it has rooms varying in shape and size taking away any boxy feeling. We bought it because within minutes we have the choice to walk to every single thing that we need. At night it is beautifully quiet. We walk from our car to the front door eliminating carrying shopping etc long distances. Easy. Though in the village, the building is secluded and the private pool a blessing. We designed the villa as a residential family home and the gardens have been developed over the past 10 years. Three years ago the master bedroom and en-suite luxury bathroom were added on the first floor. Having been the occupants of the villa it is maintained to the highest standards which is how we like to present it to our clients.

Unique benefits of the property
Convenience is the name of the game here in Casa Madreselva. The sea is just 50 meters away.15 restaurants from cheap to excellent, bars, fishing, supermarket, bus stops, surfing. Its quiet! There is a quiet spot for everybody who wants a bit of solitary space. Nooks and cranies to read, listen to music, sunbath or just contemplate how happy you are. Enjoy the shade of a tree, or an unmrella. Dip your feet in the pool. Sip a cold drink. We have chilled water on tap 24 hours a day. For camera enthusiasts the spectacular scenery is a must.
