Apartment is ideal for families, couples and groups alike. It has very flexible accommodation and a high standard of fixtures and fittings. A welcome pack is supplied on arrival. A terrace leading off the lounge and the larger bedroom is perfect for breakfast in the sun. The apartment has the use of the communal swimming pool accessed only by key. The beach is a horseshoe shape with a lagoon which is very safe for children but also an area that is deeper for adults. There are local restaurants within the Atlantico Centre a few minutes walk including Chinese and Thai food as well as pizza, pasta, Burger King and favourite English foods. For those who prefer to sample local menus and excellent restaurant food, there's several 5 star hotels opposite apartment which serve delicious meals. McDonalds is 2 minutes walk door to door should the children need it! While staying in the apartment you will have the use of the pools and restaurants of the Elba Sara Hotel and the Elba Carlota Hotel.

Changeover day
Changeover day is flexible. Check out time is 10am on day of departure but if there is no-one due on same day then by prior arrangement we may be able to accomodate late check out.

| Kitchen: | 4 ring ceramic hob, oven, grill, fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave, kettle, toaster, food whisk and iron/ironing board. |

All bed linen, towels, bath mats and even beach towels are provided. A maid service is included on departure. For stays of two weeks or more, bedlinen and towels will be changed and the apartment will be cleaned at no extra charge weekly. |

Notes on accommodation
Cots and high chairs are available for hire. If other things are required then ask as soon as possible so we have the greatest chance of hiring them for you, for when you need them.
Accessibility
As the apartment is reached by stairs and then the roof terrace is accessed by more stairs this apartment would not be suitable for anyone who has trouble with stairs and wouldn't be suitable for wheelchair users.
Outside
There is a small terrace in the apartment that is reached through the lounge and the bedroom with a table and 6 garden chairs. There is a very large roof terrace, accessed only by stairs via the apartment making it completely private. There are 6 private sun loungers and 2 small terrace tables up there. The terrace has sunshine nearly all day and privacy for sunbathing. Both terraces are accessed only from inside the property. The communal swimming pool has sun loungers around it and changing facilities if required. It is kept locked so it is only used by people who are living or staying in the properties. The apartment has an English speaking property management team who are within a couple of minutes of the property and they are available for emergencies 24hrs. They are also available for any local help and advice. On arrival we provide a meet and greet service, and tourist brochures.
Coast/Beach
A lovely safe horseshoe shaped man-made beach with lovely white sand (and sun loungers to rent daily) is only about 100 metres away. Just a short walk. The beach is really safe for families and there is a lovely bar/restaurant out on a small island for drinks or meals. There are several different styles of cafes and restaurants as well as shops that sell ice creams or cold beers.
Golf
Fuerteventura Golf Resort is reached by a short walk or by a free bus service leaving from the Atlantico Centre.
Travel
The airport is barely 15 minutes away by taxi. The taxi fare is approx 15 Euros. The local buses are very efficient and run a service every 30 mins to Puerto del Rosario (Capital town) costing 1.30 Euros. There are many shops there from designer ones to a hypermarket in Las Rotondas shopping centre. Car hire is not essential as everywhere is either easy by foot or by bus. If you want to go sightseeing then search the web for the best car hire deal as it can be as cheap as around £15 per day.
Distances
A walk to the town of Caleta de Fuste takes about 15 mins and is a very lovely walk along the beach. There is a market every Saturday with a lot of African stalls showing the African side of Fuerteventura. In the town there are a large number of bars and restaurants serving everything from a full English breakfast to an Indian meal. There are also many bars that show the football, rugby, cricket etc, and some also show all the favourite British soaps if you don't want to miss any while away!
Further details
The local 'Spar' for all your food requirements is in the Atlantico centre which is normally open 09:30am - 21:30pm Monday to Saturday and 11:00am till 21:30pm on Sundays. A cash machine is also available in the Atlantico Centre. To cash travellers cheques or change pounds to Euros you will need to produce your passport at the bank. Shop around as some banks charge large commission charges so shop around to get the best deal.
Booking notes
Dates can be held on request for up to 1 week after which a deposit of £100 per week needs to be paid by cheque or BACS to reserve apartment. Balance is due no later than 6 weeks prior to holiday start date. If booking is made less than 6 weeks prior to start of holiday then the total cost needs to be paid in full at time of booking. £100/120Euro refundable deposit for breakages needs to be handed in cash to the property manager on arrival who will return it after checking the apartment.

About the owner
We are a couple with (nearly) grown up children (if they ever really do) so we decided to buy a property that had sun all year round as we felt we could be away for reasonable lengths of time leaving the family to look after themselves. We intend to spend the winters here ourselves and then plan to move here permanently when we retire.
