Ideally positioned for a memorable stay in sunny, picturesque and interesting Los Gigantes. Located in a quiet, attractive Spanish-style complex next to the beach and the marina with it's many activities and attractions, only a few minutes walk to all other village amenities. Relax on the wide terrace and enjoy panoramic views of the sea and boats in and out of the harbour, sun and swim on the beach below or take scenic walks in and around the area. The spacious apartment is airy and comfortable with a large terrace running its entire width and a further balcony at the rear. The good-sized lounge and dining area can seat 6 and, should you wish to eat in, there is a well-equipped, refurbished kitchen. The two bedrooms are roomy, each with a balcony. There is a bathroom en-suite plus a further full bathroom. Air-conditioning, British TV plus 2 film channels, DVD and video are important additions as is allocated parking to accommodate a hired car should you wish to explore the island.

Living Rooms: Large French doors open to terrace with great views. Open- plan lounge area with two large comfortable sofas, British TV+2 film channels, DVD/video. Dining table and chairs can seat 6, sideboard with videos, books, games, binoculars and local information.

Notes on accommodation
Quick and efficient air-conditioning and heating system
The lift serving the floors below, the ground floor and basement is directly outside the door of the apartment. The stairs are also adjacent. As the apartment is on the top floor (4th), the balconies could be a safety issue for small children.

Accessibility
There is a lift right outside the apartment door serving all floors to the ground floor and basement as do the stairs which are also adjacent. There are numerous exits on the ground floor and in the basement of the complex leading directly to the beach, shops, supermarket, bars, restaurants and marina.

Outside
The large terrace with tables and chairs for relaxing, commands stunning views of the sea, cliffs, marina and the island of La Gomera. Directly below the balcony is the quiet and attractive Spanish-style inner courtyard of the complex and a garden area.

Coast/Beach
Just one minute walk to the volcanic sandy beach. The beach is protected on one side by the cliffs and rocks and by the harbour wall on the other side. It is ideal for sunning and swimming and operates a flag safety system. Lie-lows and umbrellas can be hired for a small fee and there is also a nice restaurant providing very good meals and snacks.

Travel
The nearest airport is Tenerife South (also known as Reina Sofia Airport). Approximately a 40 minute drive, at least half is on an excellent motorway. The taxi fare is about 50 Euros, mini-bus services are less. The apartment is so well positioned that a car is not a necessity. However, as hiring a car and petrol are relatively reasonable and the roads generally good, car hire pick-up and return at the Airport is a very good option giving flexibility to explore the whole island.

Distances
The nearest resorts are Puerto de Santiago and Playa de la Arena, 2 or 3 Km away. Both are walkable and well worth a visit along a lovely scenic cliff walk. For those with a car, there are many scenic drives. Mount Teide and its cableway, set in the National Park, is a big tourist attraction. Porto de la Cruz and the Loro Park (a beautifully maintained zoo with wonderful animal shows) is a great day out for all ages. Not far away, the resorts of Adeje and Los Cristianos are also great to visit.

Further details
In Los Gigantes itself, there are lots of varied and interesting shops, a number of supermarkets, many restaurants which are of a good standard, 2 banks with cashpoints and bars of all types, some of which provide evening cabaret shows for the price of a drink or two and screen English sporting events.
At the marina, there are lots of different boat trips available,
a pirate ship, speed boat, fishing trips, diving school, day trips, most of which virtually guarantee you will see whales and/or dolphins. Paragliding and jet skis can also be arranged as can trips to all other parts of the island. Fiestas are held in the church square with colourful parades, music, dancing, fancy dress and fireworks.

About the owner
Hi, we live in England and have 3 grown-up children. We have owned our apartment for 5 years now and still have to pinch ourselves whenever we go there. We go out regularly and still marvel at the fantastic views and its perfect position for all the amenities Los Gigantes has to offer. We fell in love with the property and Los Gigantes itself the very first time we visited and couldn't believe our luck when we found on our second visit that the property was for sale. Having travelled all over the Island, we still think that Los Gigantes is the nicest and most picturesque area. It's a friendly and interesting place with its rather unique blend of Spanish and English residents. The weather also is very reliable as it is sheltered by the famous cliffs.
