10 minutes stroll from the Marina Rubicon. Only a few minutes stroll to the nearest supermarket where you can get a taxi in to the town, or if you prefer, you can walk directly into the town on the pedestrian only promenade that is only 2 minutes from your doorstep. Once on the promenade you amble along the coastline, in and out of the marina and then a further 15 minute stroll to the commercial area of Dorada beach and then a further 5 minutes and you are in the town centre. All this and not a car in sight, the safest and most relaxing way for adults and children to see Playa Blanca. If you like, you can stay on the promenade and walk from the most eastern point of Playa Blanca to the most Western point without the hassle of traffic or road noise as it is totally pedestrian only, how far you go is up to you... It is now also possible to walk from your house to the world famous beaches of Papagayo taking in some of the best views Lanzarote has to offer. A car is not essential.

Changeover day
Changeover days are completely flexible. The house will be available from 3pm on day of arrival and must be vacated by 10am on day of departure.

Cleaning/towels/

All linen and towels are included but not beach towels. The property is fully cleaned before every new arrival and a mini-clean is included in all bookings of more than 9 nights.

 

Notes on accommodation
There are plenty of excellent restaurants in Playa Blanca offering something for all tastes. Several have recently opened at the close by Marina, which is a great place to dine out after sampling a relaxing cocktail at the trendy Cafe Del Mar. Alternatively, stroll into town where restaurants and bars line the pedestrianised sea front promenade. On your doorstep you also have the 4 star Iberostar Papagayo Hotel which has a buffet style restaurant available to outside clients, where you can eat and drink as much as you like for 19 euros, with children under 12 at half price. Following your evening meal why not try a quiet drink or even sample the entertainment at one of the other nearby 4 and 5 star hotels. There is also a sports bar and 3 restaurants at the nearby area of Las Coloradas only a few minutes away in the opposite direction of the Marina, again by foot on the wonderful promenade.

Accessibility
This property is suitable for people with disabilities as it is accessible with a wheelchair and there is a downstairs bedroom and bathroom.

Outside
Property comes complete with two outdoor dining areas both with outdoor dining table and chairs. The front terrace is partially covered to allow for some shade during the day time and is also extended for sunbed use, six sunbeds are included. The terrace also has a direct view to the pool, allowing you to keep an eye on young ones around the pool area, the terrace also overlooks the garden area which is watered weekly. The rear terrace is much more secluded and allows for you to have a private meal of an evening, during the daytime, the area is a great place to sunbathe. The communal pool measures 16m x 8m and is surrounded by private sunbeds for your use.

Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is approximately 1 mile away with the World famous Papagayo Beaches being only slightly further and accessible by foot. Approximately 1 mile away is the Dorada Beach which boasts many water sporting activities along with sunbeds and surrounding bars and restaurants.

Golf
There are two 18 hole golf courses on the island, the more established Costa Teguise Golf Course which is approx 40km away and the newly opened Tias Golf Course which is approx 30km away. In Playa Blanca there is also a 9 hole pitch 'n putt course.

Travel
Arrecife Airport is approx 30km away by car. Playa Blanca Harbour is approx 3km away which offers the chance to catch a ferry to Fuerteventura. Car Hire is certainly not essential.

Distances
The renowned Marina Rubicon is only a 10 minute walk away. In the other direction is the quiet area of Las Coloradas. The live volcano of Timanfaya, the fishing village of el golfo, the vibrant grape growing areas, the water park plus many other attractions are all only a short car journey away or if you prefer just hop on a coach and go to all the excursions available in Lanzarote all from a pick-up point just 1 minute walk from your door.

Further details
Lanzarote has so much to offer. Within Playa Blanca why not try diving via one of the schools in the resort, water sports as found at the Dorada Beach or for those really energetic the squash or tennis available at the Iberostar Hotel. Bike hire, crazy golf and pitch and putt etc are also available locally, along with boat trips and sailing opportunities via the marina and main harbour. Sight seeing trips are run from outlets within Playa Blanca but driving is so easy and the island relatively small at 60km x 21km, so why not hire a car and see the capital Arrecife and the other resorts including Puerto Calero, where you can have a trip in a submarine. There's also the volcanoes, markets and caves or get off the beaten track and explore the wonderful fishing villages and small mountain towns. Fuerteventura is only a very short ferry ride away, although if taking a car please check the insurance first as not always covered. Insurance, flights and cancellations. It is the responsibility of the rental occupant to take out travel insurance and to book flights. Refunds on cancellations will only be returned if an alternative occupant fills your selected dates. Important note: Flight delays and flight cancellations will not entitle you to a refund. Liability. Please note we do not accept any liability for the complex or surrounding vicinity.

Booking notes
Prices are based on 2 people, please add 25 pounds per additional person, per week. A deposit of £100 is required to secure the booking with full payment due 12 weeks before arrival date. Deposit is refundable up to 12 weeks prior to departure. A returnable security deposit is required of £100 per booking. The house will be available from 3pm on day of arrival and must be vacated by 10am on day of departure.

Lanzarote has been a favourite holiday destination for many years this year we decided to go self catering and are we pleased that we did the house had everything that you have at home and even more the complex of residential Iris phase 2 is immaculate and number 61 was the best it was highly maintained inside and out, the information bible inside the house had everything that we needed from recommendation of restaurants to the local doctors, the weather was fantastic so we had many a days just relaxing around the pool taking a book or two from the massive collection which the owners leave for there guests, in the evenings we sat outside with a lovely glass of wine whilst waiting for the BBQ to cook, one thing which was great for us when we arrived there was a great welcome pack waiting for us to enjoy, we would like to thank Angie&Eddie for letting us use there perfect home and we hope to return next year
