The villa is built in traditional Spanish style, being 'U' shaped around a central, partly covered, patio and planter. It is rustic in character, with a feature lava wall and chimney in the style of Manrique in the lounge. The bedrooms have wooden cathedral style ceilings making for coolness in summer and warmth in the winter. One arm of the U is a separate Annexe, an ideal haven for grandparents, teenagers or friends sharing the villa as it has patio doors, a seating area, TV, kettle for drink making and intercom. The main terrace has a Canarias style table and seating area, shaded by the covered pergola, making an ideal spot for alfresco eating in peace and seclusion. There is further covered barbecue terrace and two well stocked side gardens. The villa is distant from other villas, there are no through roads near by, it overlooks green belt, and is thus particularly quiet and tranquil. The restaurant La Bocaina is 100m from the entrance to the community and is very well thought of.

Notes on prices
Price is for up to 4 people for 1 week in UK Pounds. Additional adults £50 (€65) per person per week. Children (aged 3 to 14) £25 (€33) per child. Infants (up to 3) free. Weekend changeover day charge of £50 (€65). Payment can be in Euros (by bank transfer).
No single sex groups under 30 years of age.
Electric pool heater is extra: October/November £25 (€33) per week and March/April £25 per week, December to February £50 (€65) per week.
Changeover day
Changeover day is normally Thursday, although other days considered (There is a £50 surcharge for weekend changeover).

| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
The property is cleaned and linen changed weekly. Towels are changed twice per week, but please provide your own beach towels. Additional maid service can be arranged and paid for with the house manager. |

The villa has a separate annexe with patio doors, a suitable haven for eg grandparents, teenagers, friends. It has a double bedroom and en-suite bathroom, plus seating area with TV, CD/radio and table with tray, kettle etc, for making drinks. Intercom to main bedroom. It is never rented out separately.

Accessibility
The villa offers limited facilities for disabled and/or wheelchair access. All on one floor, with mostly wide doors and low thresholds. Large bathrooms with walk-in showers. Specialist equipment can be hired.
Outside
Large 8m by 4m heated private swimming pool in a walled garden which makes it sheltered and secluded. 15m long terrace with 6 loungers, 2 umbrellas on stands and extra table and chairs. The pool is separated by a wall with gate from the house. The main terrace has a very comfortable seating and table, well sheltered and private. There is a further barbecue terrace, also very private, and two side gardens. The Los Calamares community (with 70 individually designed villas) has a large swimming pool and tennis courts. At the entrance is a mini-golf and cafe. The village with all its shops and restaurants is 700m away, and the town beach and promenade is 900m.
Coast/Beach
Playa Blanca, which is 700m from the villa, has 3 safe beaches, all south facing and thus sheltered from the prevailing wind. Along the shore there is a promenade, which runs the whole length of this area, including up to the Papagoya beaches (3km). Restaurants overlook the small main beach which is 900m from the villa, where you can have a drink or meal whilst keeping an eye on your children playing on the beach. The majority of the shops and restaurants of the area are located here.
Golf
18 hole course at Costa Teguise (40km), and 9 hole course and driving range at Tias (20km). A simple pitch and putt, but grass by Dorado Beach (1Km).
Travel
A car is not necessary as all facilities are close by (shops, restaurants, beach etc). The airport is 30km at Arrecife where you can hire a car for your holiday, or for 1 day leave at Playa Blanca (30-40 euros). Our house manager also provides an airport transfer service (at cost) if preferred.
Distances
A car can be useful for travelling further afield (ferry 1km, sailing at Marina Rubicon (2km), horse riding 10km, Golf 30km etc). The famous Papagayo Beaches, a nature conservation area (and naturist beach) are 5km away. Travel by car or bike (Bike hire at harbour (1km).
Further details
4 large supermarkets within 700m (1 has free underground parking). Cycle hire within 1km.
Booking notes
A non-refundable deposit of £100 per week secures booking. Balance due 1 month prior to occupation. Payment by cheque or bank transfer (incl Spanish bank in euros).
House swap
House swap considered. Preferably a holiday location not in the UK.
