Our well equipped and comfortable apartment features spacious lounge and double bedroom both looking out over the wide balcony to an island of four palm trees with one of the two swimming pools beyond. On site is an owners office with local information and internet cafe and nearby is a good supermarket and a varied selection of bars and restaurants which suit all tastes, including Rosies Cantina on site which is open every evening.

Notes on prices
We allow a discount for a booking of 4 weeks or more. For odd number of days we cost 'pro-rata' the weekly rent.
Changeover day
We are flexible about arrival and departure days, which often helps to get a better deal on flights since daily flights are available from various airports. Minimum stay is 7 nights.

Notes on accommodation
The TV has over 100 available channels, including BBC/ITV/Ch4 and 5, Sky News, cartoons, plus sports and movies. Sun bed and sun chair cushions are provided for your comfort. Wifi is available now.
Accessibility
We are situated in centre of the complex on the ground floor but there are a few steps to reach this plaza.
Outside
The terrace has table and 4 chairs, sun umbrella, along with two loungers and a lovely outlook - you can see the hills in the distance. There is a prviacy blind at one end of the balcony and the sun reaches the balcony from April - October.There are 2 swimming pools close by set on the main plaza amidst the tropical gardens, one of which is heated in the winter months, and also a small child's pool. Sunbeds and parasols are provided free of charge and we have foam sunbed cushions in the apartment which you can take to the pool area so you will be comfortable!
Coast/Beach
There are 4 beaches in Los Cristianos from a natural one to splendid large white sand one. They are from 10 -15 mins walk away (taxi rank outside if you prefer!). The busy harbour with its fishing boats, many excursions to see the whales, and ferries to La Gomera, Las Palma and El Hierro is just 15 mins walk away.
Golf
There are several golf courses in the vicinity - the closest being Golf Las Americas 18 hole, par 72 less than 5 mins by car and then Los Palos, a 9-hole, par 3 just about 7 mins by car. The 18-hole courses of Golf del Sur and Amarilla Golf are both about 10 minutes away, as is Golf Costa Adeje but in the other direction.
Travel
Royal Palm is just 15-20 mins in a taxi from the Tenerife South airport, Reina Sofa, and car hire is not necessary unless you want to tour the island. There is a very good bus service over most of the island from the local bus station.
Distances
Santa Cruz, the capital of Tenerife, is about 45 mins in a car or 55 mins on the fast bus. Puerto de la Cruz can also be reach by bus - 75 mins in car.
Further details
Close by is a very good selection of restaurants and Bars, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Indian, French, English, Mexican. There is a choice of 2 very good supermarkets, a bank, hairdressers, money exchange etc. The owners office on site has internet cafe and newspapers and is a useful source of information.
WiFi is available from May 2011 although lots of the closeby bars have it available too.
Booking notes
We ask for deposit on booking your holiday and the balance being due 6 weeks before you travel. We are officially registered with the Spanish Tourist Board for letting and work with the on-site letting agent, Oasis Management too. The apartment is managed by them.

About the owner
We are a semi-retired couple living in Norfolk and spend lots of time in one of our two apartments in Los Cristianos.
Friends ask do we get bored going to the same place every time - the answer is no, never - we never get to do all the things we intend and there is always more to look foward to another time.
There's nothing we have to do and not enough time in which to do it!
Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
My husband and I brought our first apartment on Royal Palm 12 years ago. 10 years ago we bought a second one and then 6 years ago changed to our current one. So one apartment we let and the other we keep for ourselves. We always seem to get lovely guests!
We looked in lots of other locations when we bought the second one, including locally and up/down the coast, but never found such a nice complex with location, character or gardens that Royal Palm offers.
Its a wonderful place to 'chill out'.

Unique benefits of the property
Relaxing, reading, swimming, golf ( there are 3/4 great courses all within 10 mins), walking - you can walk 9 kilometres along the boardwalk, past Playa, to Caleta and beyond.
There is good bus service to all over the island and being only 15 mins from the airport you do not have to hire a car unless you want to.
A nice thing about Los Cristianos is that you can tell the Spanish were there first. There is the cultural centre, the local fiestas/carnival, the 'local' town with great hardware shops like UK used to have.
If you do hire a car there are great farmers' markets within 10 mins.
On Royal Palm we are close enough to town to join in yet far enough away to be quiet.
