Notes on accommodation
The property is fully air-conditioned and can be heated if the weather turns cool. There is a children's pool and also a children's play area on the complex. There is a cafe in the pool area where you can get drinks, lunch and a barbecue is provided on certain days of the week, 24hour reception, plus the penthouse has its own underground parking place in the property.
Accessibility
There is a lift that provides access to the apartment, so wheelchair access would be available straight from the underground car park, direct to the 3 floor where the penthouse is situated.
Coast/Beach
The apartment is in walking distance to the beach, and harbour where you will find shops and superb restaurants at very reasonable prices. Also by the harbour is a large heated swimming pool complex called the Los Gigantes leisure centre, which also includes three floodlit tennis courts 16 hole crazy golf, snack bar and Sky sports bar.
Golf
There are many golf courses on the island.
Travel
Car hire is not essential as there are a wide variety of shops, bars and restaurants in easy walking distance. But car hire is very reasonable on the island and Tenerife has lots of interesting things to see on a day out. The apartment is about 40 minutes from the airport so hiring a car is a good way of getting to and from the apartment, a taxi will cost in the region of about 60 euros to and from the airport
Distances
There are many things to do on the island, such as a tour up Mount Teide which is a volcanic mountain, or a trip out of the harbour on a boat to see the dolphins, there is a zoo, or the Tenerife pearl factory or take a drive to the north of the island where the lush green tropical gardens are a must to see.
Further details
A supermarket is across the road from the apartment, selling fresh bread, fruit etc. Banks and restaurants are a short 5 minute walk down to the village of Los Gigantes.
