There is a private pool and large patio area where you can sit with a drink and look out at the breathtaking views. Our villa is set in a quiet and peaceful location, ideal for a relaxing holiday.

Changeover day
This is completely flexible, so long as we have the dates free we will take a booking for any day you wish to go.

Towels and linen are included, towels are changed mid week and a full towel/linen change plus a clean is done half-way through a 2 week stay. A welcome pack is provided. |

Accessibility
There is a large driveway for parking and there are shops, bars, beaches and restaurants all within a 5 minute drive. Our villa is set on a hill and is about a 40 minute walk to the main part of Playa Blanca.
Outside
Outside is a large patio area with table and chairs and a private pool with sunbeds. The pool is about 6m x 3m and is about 4 foot deep at the shallow end and 5 foot deep at the deep end.
Coast/Beach
Playa Blanca has many beaches including the famous Papagayo beaches. The beaches are only a 5 minute drive away and parking is available close by. Papagayo beaches can be driven to (there is a small charge) or accessed by boat. Boats leave from the harbour in Playa Blanca which is again only a 5 minute drive from our villa.
Golf
There is a golf course on Lanzarote, this is at Costa Teguise.
Special interest holidays
Our villa is situated halfway up Montana Roja and in an ideal position for a walk up to the top of the mountain. The views from the top are fantastic.
You can take scuba diving lessons at Playa Blanca or if you are experienced in diving you can go both day and night.
Travel
Arrecife is the only airport on the island of Lanzarote, this is a 30 minute drive up the LZ2. Our villa is not difficult to find and we do give good instructions.
Distances
As Lanzarote is only a small island it is possible, with car hire, to travel to all the places of interest. Cesar Manrique had a very large input into how the island is run and you can visit many places of interest created by him. Playa Blanca itself used to be a sleepy fishing village but has now become one of the best places to stay during your visit to Lanzarote. The promenade stretches from the lighthouse at one end of the village to the new marina at the other.
Further details
A 5 minute drive brings you to the village of Playa Blanca where you have the promenade with restaurants and bars and a pedestrian street with shops and banks. In the village is a Hyper Dino supermarket with free parking under (you will need to spend about 6 euros and get your ticket stamped in the supermarket). Playa Blanca also has dive centres for anyone interested. Timanfaya National Park (fire mountain) is a 'must see', you are taken up the mountain where they demonstrate the heat from the mountain. There is a restaurant there and this day out is also ideal for a camel ride. Jameous del Agua is one of Cesar Manrique's creations, here you can see the white crabs in the caves (the only place in the world they are found). Other places created by Cesar Manrique to be visited are, The Cactus Garden, The Caves of Los Verdes and Mirador del Rio. From the harbour at Playa Blanca you can take a trip over to the island of Fuerteventura, this only takes about 15 minutes to get to. Booking notes
Verbal/email reservations held for 2 working days.
A £50 per week deposit and completed booking form secures reservation. Balance of the booking fee is due no later than eight weeks before the start of the holiday. If the villa is booked last minute then the whole payment will be due immediately.
Deposit is non-refundable if the remaining balance is not paid within eight weeks of the start of holiday or if the holiday is cancelled. Payment may also be accepted in euros.

'We stayed at Los Altos March 2008. It is a brilliant villa with plenty of space. It has fantastic views of Playa Blanca and the surrounding mountains. Villa is within walking distance of Playa Blanca but it is also very easy and cheap to get a taxi back. If you fancy a boat trip try the 3 Islas or the Princess Yaiza (bookable at the port). For surfers try the Playa de Famara beach near Teguise. Takes about 45 minutes from the villa but roads are good. For markets try the one at the Marina which was there on a Wednesday and a Saturday. We would highly recommend staying in either of the two villas, we have been in both and have had a fantastic time on both occasions.'

'The villa at Los Altos is fantastic, It really is very spacious and well maintained, we had a really relaxing time and the kids had great fun playing around in the pool. The views are absolutely stunning and there was always something to keep us busy.'

About the owner
I currently live in England with my husband. We have 3 grown-up sons, 2 are living in Australia at the moment. We are both working but hope to sell up here in England in the near future and move over to one of our properties in Lanzarote. We like to spend as much time as we can in Lanzarote, especially in the winter months, as the island has the sun all year round.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
Los Altos has superb views over the village of Playa Blanca, across to the mountains of Femes and out across the sea. It is a very peaceful place to stay and Playa Blanca is great too. Everything you need is just a short 5 minute drive away.
Unique benefits of the property
The peace and quiet is hard to beat and the views fantastic. Although we always have plenty to do each time we visit it is still enjoyable.
