Villa Lulu is a detached 3 bedroom Canarian villa situated in its own generous grounds with swimming pool and mature gardens. Located in the typical village of Oasis de Nazaret with stunning mountain and sea views as well as some excellent restaurants and local shops, including the famous Lagomar restaurant. 10 minutes away from all the attractions of the coastal tourist areas such as golf, bars and nightlife. It is ideal for people who like comfort and to be away from package deals, hotels and noisy nightclubs but close enough to enjoy them if the mood takes them. Tastefully furnished with modern light furniture. Villa Lulu is well equipped with everything you would expect from a modern day home and just that little bit more! The villa has high ceilings and large windows giving it an extremely light, airy feeling which brings the garden into the villa. The pool can be seen from the lounge and master bedroom which is ideal if you have young children to keep an eye on young children.

Changeover day
We are completely flexible on dates and have an 'late departure apartment for those on you on late flights'. There is a small charge for the use of this but it allows you to enjoy your last day without the worry of checking out.

Accommodation

 

Notes on accommodation
This villa is on one level offering large comfortable rooms with plenty of light. It is decorated to a modern high standard. The lounge is tastefully furnished and comes with a dining room, which seats six people. There are patio doors leading onto the terraced area. There is a separate fully equipped kitchen with a view of the lounge area; The master bedroom comes with en-suite bathroom and patio windows onto the terraced area affording a view of the pool. There are two further bedrooms and another shower room containing shower, toilet bidet and handbasin. Outside the kitchen is a laundry and drying area. The interior of the villa is on one level with only one step into the lounge, kitchen and en suite bathroom. The pool is surrounded by artificial grass to ensure that you don't burn your feet in the heat and making it comfortable for the toddlers who are crawling. The gardens are mature and nicely laid out. There are ample garden furniture, barbecue and spectacular views.

Accessibility
The villa is very spacious and everything is on ground floor level with just the odd step inside the villa and one getting out to the patio. It is not overlooked and allows you privacy with no main road passing your door. Good for the elderly due to the very small amount of steps.

Outside
The villa is in its own grounds, lower gardens and off road parking lead to the villa surrounded by landscaped gardens. The patio area is furnished with a barbecue, dining furniture and sun loungers. There is a swimming pool surrounded by Astroturf to avoid burning your feet in the sun. The garden and pool area are surrounded by a wall for your privacy and ensuring that you are not overlooked. The height of the villa within the village means that the wall does not detract from the views over the Island. The villa is ideal for young children because most rooms give an uninterupted view of the pool and the toddlers would be unable to reach the handles on the gate to get off the patio and out of the villa. It is not on a main road so there is no traffic noise and is a very safe area for families. No where is very far from Nazaret so you can have privacy or a short distance away join all the tourists. Easy reach to surfing and cycle areas.

Coast/Beach
The Island is very small so it is easy to get anywhere. Ten minutes by car to Costa Teguise beach and twenty minutes from Puerto del Carmen beach. You can take a drive down to the beautiful marina in Puerto Calero where there is a whale museum and a spar where you can go and spend the day being pampered. You can also take a trip on the glass bottom boat from Puerto Calero. If you enjoy surfing you can visit Famara which is the longest surfing beach on the Island and a hit with the locals.

Golf
Close to a local golf course in Costa Teguise and approx fifteen minutes from the new gold course in Puerto del Carmen.

Skiing
All water sports are popular on the Island and many opportunities to water ski are available. The largest surfing beach Famara is ten minutes drive away, the cycle training routes are also very dear. There is the Ceasar Manrique foundation only ten minutes down the road and the ancient town of Teguise 5 minutes up the main road. Plenty of restaurants and local shops are near to hand.

Special interest holidays
The Island is excellent for water sports, most kinds of which can be found in the vicinity from diving to kite surfing. There is one golf course nearby and a further one in Puerto del Carmen. Parts of the Island are used for Olympic training and it is great for keen runners and cyclists. There are many stables located on the Island, offering horse riding for adults and children. Surfing and kite surfing are extremely popular. The Island is volcanic in origin and has a landscape which is unlike any other. The National Park of Timanfaya preserves the centre of the volcano and is open to visitors who wish to see how the volcano remains smouldering or to enjoy a meal cooked by the heat of the volcano alone. For keen artists there are many sculptures dotted around the Island and a museum set up in memory of Caesar Manrique who was Lanzarote's resident modern artist/ for many years. As Lanzarote is such a small Island, nowhere is far away so you can enjoy everything the Island has to offer.

Travel
It is 20 minutes by car from the airport. A car is recommended so that you can benefit from all that Lanzarote has to offer. Car hire is very reasonable and if necessary we can arrange it for you. If you arrange your car hire through us we will arrange for a car to be at the airport for your arrival. The roads to the villa are very well laid out. Our manager is always happy to collect you from the airport if required.

Distances
Five minutes drive to the old Capital 'Teguise'. As the Island is so small it is not far to anywhere, there are also boat services to other Islands if you fancy a day on a different Canary Island. There is also a water park in nearby Costa Teguise. There are two gold courses on the Island plus a riding school. Most areas in Lanzarote can be reached in 45 minutes by car. The parrot park is a must for people with children, it has many different kinds of animals including penguins and meercats.

Further details
There are restaurants in the village one being the old house that was once owned by Omar Sharif and doubles as a museum and has an excellent reputation for it's food and music with both locals and tourists. There is also a local social club, which offers inexpensive cuisine to eat in or take away, the menu is in English and Spanish and very child friendly. The Manager of the villa is English speaking and is on call seven days a week. He will visit you shortly after your arrival and will then leave you to your own devices unless you should need his services for any particular reason. Should you wish, for a reasonable sum, the manager will pick your luggage up from the airport for you and return it to the airport on the day of your departure. We also offer a shopping service whereby we will make sure that, on arrival, you have all the essentials which you will need for your holiday. We will also provide you with a hot meal so that you need not concern yourself with cooking when you get to the villa at the start of your holiday if required. The Health service is very good here should you need it and excellent treatment can be received by using your E111 of Health passport. Most doctors surgery's have specialist doctors for children and the local hospital is just ten minutes away. There are many opportunities to join in local carnivals or music festivals where all are welcome. The Island is extremely child friendly and in most restaurants you will find that both parents and children are made welcome whatever the time of day. The villa is situated is an extremely safe residential village where you do not need to worry about your safety and like most Canarian villages you will be made welcome and treated well. Hi ,
We had a potential catastrophe when my mother discovered she'd lost her
passport on the day of departure but Mark's total devotion to the
welfare of residents saved the day. The way Mark swung into action:
driving to Soo to check the car; telephoning a contact at the airport;
taking us to the Guardia Civil; taking Mum to the photographers and all
of us to the Consulate and then to the airport (skilfully) at high speed
saved the day for us. Mark was not prepared to leave it at that, he
parked the car and came back to check we were able to board (by the skin
of our teeth) and he clearly cared about what he was doing for friends
as well as residents. What Mark did was incredible, the time he devoted
and the effort and his obvious caring about what he was doing. We really
felt rescued, looked after and protected. My other is 85 years of age
and things could have been so much worse for us. Here we are back home
and Mark is already a legend. Thank you for a lovlely holiday
