Coast/Beach
Beaches are all accessible on foot but the nearest is Dorada beach which is 1000m away. There is a nice waterfront walk from the Marina to Dorada which is suitable by buggy or wheelchair. The famous Papagayo beaches are best accessed by car but can be walked. There are 6 beaches and all are lovely yellow sand. If you are a naturist then this is where you might like to visit. There are a number of beaches, what we call 'locals beaches' which take a little more searching. Nearest 400m.
Golf
Nearest golf course is Lanzarote Golf Resort, Just 20 minutes drive away is the International 18 Hole golf course at Costa Teguise. An interesting and challenging course with a pleasant club house offering food. Clubs and carts can be hired.
Travel
The villa is about 20 minutes from the airport. I can arrange transport for you (my dad does the pick ups). If you prefer a hire car I can send you directions from the villa, very straight forward.
Distances
Lanzarote is relatively small and from Playa Blanca to the top of the island takes about an hour. There are great Markets and once you have done the Market in the Marina Rubicon then try Teguise Market. There is of course Fire Mountain and some great places of interest such as the Cesar Mariguee museum and cactus garden. There are great places to eat on the Island and you might like to try fish in El Golfo, Quamada or Famara all are great. If you like to surf then try Famara beach.
Further details
The marina is ideal for people who like to scuba, sail and enjoy life on the water. There are kayaks for the kids. If you like ten pin bowling there is a bowling alley and for the golfers there is a pitch and put course and crazy golf for the kids and bouncy castles. On Dorada beach there are banana boats and pedalos.
Within 1500m of 100 restaurants and bars, many shops, 5 supermarkets, 2 local markets numerous banks, Doctors (Nr Dorada Beach), water sports, Pitch and Putt. 2 Yellow beaches (9 in 3000m).
Booking notes
Deposit is £100 per week balance paid on arrival. The villa is perfect for couples and children. Great location.
