Notes on accommodation
Very comfortable accommodation with leather sofas, natural seagrass arm chairs, teak dining furniture & other art and artefacts. All rooms have ceiling or table fans and badrooms have ventilated shutters to allow windows to be left open for cool day or night ventilation. The villa is in a quiet cul-de sac & offers peace and quiet while being a close walking distance to the beach, bars, restaurants and shops.

Outside
There is a private swimming pool (25' x 12'), which is solar heated by special roof panels and an electric heat pump for guaranteed winter pool warmth. Also you will find a large sun terrace with comfortable beds and shady pergola, an outdoor shower, BBQ, hardwood dining furniture and a garden planted with indigenous Canarian plants and succulents, all surrounded by screens and walls to ensure your privacy. Pool and terrace is not overlooked so sunbathe and swim 'au naturelle' if you wish.
Coast/Beach
Beaches with restaurants and bars just 7 and 15 minutes level walk from the villa. The world renowned Playa Papagayo is just 15 minutes drive.
Golf
There is an established golf course at Costa Teguise (about 25 mins) and a further course now completed (Jan 2009) & Puerto del Carmen (20 Mins).
Special interest holidays
Lanzarote is well know to surfers, windsurfers & paragliders & a popular spot for divers where diving schools abound. Close by there is a fabulous marina with sailing schools & other water born activities.
Travel
A car is not essential as shops and restaurants are within an easy walk of the villa. However, to get the best from the island and it's facilities, a car (rental is only around £120 per week) is recommended. Arrecife airport is 20 minutes and taxis are usually abundant (but expect queues at peak times) and car hire is in the terminal.

Playa Blanca has a fantastic range of shops, bars and restaurants all within 5 minutes of the villa. There are also 3 banks, cash machines and other modern amenities!

About the owner
Nick and Jane Bailey.
We are married, have 3 children (and an equally delightful spaniel!) and have lived in the small rural village of Tockington near Bristol for the past thirteen years. Jane runs her own book-keeping business and works for many diverse clients from estate agents to farm equipment dealers. Nick has also run his own property management business for over 30 years and now specialises in period refurbishments and holiday lettings.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We have been visiting the Canary Islands all our lives, for the year round sun and warmth, sea swimming and natural beauty. We fell upon the Blaya Blanca area of Lanzarote in 1999 and decided to build a home with a view to one day spending the winters away.
Playa Blanca has grown in ten years but still retains it small fishing village feel and offers everything a holiday needs but away from the high rises of the traditional 'resorts'.
Our villa is in a lovely private residential area which is slightly elevated to give views of the ocean & islands beyond. Yet we are just a few easy minutes walk to the beach & promenade along the sea front to the centre of Playa Blanca.

Villa Feliz is in a quiet cul de sac just eight minutes walk from the sea and the beautiful promenade that takes you to the port and centre of the village.
The home is on a private development and offers everything and more you would expect from this perfect location.
Other properties may try and tempt you with hot tubs, pin ball machines and other frippery but are often in less convenient locations and require a car to get anywhere.
Feliz has the view, the pool, the terrace, spacious cool living living spaces, well equipped kitchen, and bedrooms and bathrooms to provide ultimate comfort for all the family.
