Coast/Beach
The beach of Caleta de Fuste is along the coastal path. It is a family friendly beach with sunbeds and parasols. There is also a variety of water sports and activities available including jet skis, diving, fishing trips and more. There is a free bus service provided by the Elba hotels which will take you to the beach, golf course and Atlantico shopping centre where there are bars, restaurants, bowling alley, cinemas, a large Spar supermarket and further beaches.
Golf
Las Salinas and Fuerteventura golf courses are both 18 hole with buggy hire, club hire, and driving range.
Special interest holidays
There are opportunities to learn about Fuerteventura's history, traditions, local cuisine and crafts by visiting some of the other villages such as Betancuria or Cotillo for example. For more energetic activities there is cycling, walking, windsurfing, surfing, kite surfing, snorkeling, off road quad bikes, water park, oasis park and much more!
Travel
The apartment is approx 8km from the airport and the islands capital Puerto del Rosario is approx 12km, which boasts a new shopping centre Las Rotondos. A car is recommended, (although not necessary) if you wish to explore the island and view the beautiful beaches, amazing landscape and sand dunes the island has to offer.
Distances
Nuevo Horizonte is centrally located along the East coast of the island making it ideal for site seeing and travelling around the rest of the island.
Further details
Taxi fare from the airport will cost approx 10 euros, and from the apartment to Caleta de Fuste will cost approx 3 euros, Atlantico shopping centre is just a couple of minutes further along the road. The coastal path to Caleta de Fuste is illuminated at night, here you will find an abundance of various shops, bars, restaurants, hire shops and banks.
Booking notes
Bookings will be held for 1 week prior to receipt of a deposit of 20% being non-refundable. An e-mail will be sent to confirm the booking. The balance should be paid no later than 4 weeks prior to departure. On arrival £150 or 200euros refundable will be paid to our representative for any accidental damages, this will be refunded once the property has been inspected on departure.
