Palm Mar is located between a Mountain "La Montaña de Guaza" on one side and a natural protected area "Malpaís de la Rasca" on the other, so the natural character of this area is assured. It enjoys a real microclimate, has hardly ever any wind and benefits from a tranquil wonderful bay. It is a residential area which means that there are no hotels, loud traffic, or bustling and noisy night life, but if you wish to party Las Américas and Los Cristianos are only 10 minutes drive away. Amenities include a good variety of bars, cafés, restaurants, general stores, children's play areas and 2 banks. Palm Mar is also an ideal spot for golfers with 5 golf courses in the region and the apartment is only 2 minutes from the sea.

Coast/Beach
A 2 minute walk will take you to walk to the seafront with paved promenade, children's play area and fish ponds. The popular beachside resorts of Los Cristianos en Las Americas are only 2.5km away, on the other side of the natural reserve called Guaza, a fantastic walk with stunning sea views over the Atlantic ocean with the island of Gomera in the distance and Mount Teide on the other side.

Golf
The beautiful club Los Palos, a 9-hole golf course, is a few minutes away, just outside the village. It has a driving range, putting green and a lovely cafeteria at the entrance. Within 10 minutes drive, you will find 4 x 18-hole golf courses: Golf del Sur, Las Americas Golf, Amarilla Golf and Costa Adeje Golf.

Travel
The nearest airport, Reina Sofia, or Tenerife South, is only 15km away, just far enough to be outside the entrance circuit of the planes coming in. It is served by many of the low cost Airlines including Easyjet, Ryanair, Monarch, Flyglobespan, Thomsonfly etc. We would be happy to arrange your transportation from the airport by private minibus at a cost of £30 (payable in advance). We are also able to recommend and arrange car hire at very reasonable rates.

Distances
The neighbouring fishing town of Las Galletas is just 5 minutes drive away from Palm Mar. The tourist resorts of Los Cristianos and Las Americas are just a 10 minute drive. The nearest golfing facility is within a 2 minute drive; fishing and swimming are within walking distance. Local activities within a 15 minute drive include horse riding, mountaineering, paragliding, sailing, surfing, tennis, water park, monkey and bird park, carting and camel riding.

There are several restaurants, bars, mini supermarkets, banks, hairdresser, internet café, cash points, car hire - all within a 2 minute walk.
