Casa del Sol is a private detached villa situated in a quiet elevated position in the exclusive area of Los Coloradas. The villa, pool and large terrace are all on one level and are south facing thus benefitting from sunshine throughout the day. The villa is equipped with air conditioning and the pool can be electrically heated (see notes on prices). The beautiful golden sands and coves of the Papagayo National Park, the impressive Rubicon Marina and the town of Playa Blanca are all a short distance from the villa. The seafront promenade starts near the villa and it is possible to walk or cycle to the marina and the town both of which have numerous restaurants, bars and shops. Playa Blanca is on the southern point of Lanzarote close to many of the attractions of the island and benefits from the best weather on the island.

Notes on prices
Price is for 2 persons per week in UK Pounds, extra £50 per person per week up to a maximum of 4 persons. Payments can be made in sterling or euros. Please state when booking if you wish to pay in Euros.
The electric pool heating is available at £35 per week and should be requested when booking. The air conditioning operates on €1 coins. Both these charges are priced at cost.
Changeover day
Normally Thursday but can be flexible.
Accommodation
| Bedrooms: | The master bedroom which has a double bed, large fitted wardrobes, ample drawer space, air conditioning, a safe and hairdryer overlooks the pool. The second bedroom has 2 single beds, fitted wardrobes and ample drawer space and air conditioning. |
| Bathrooms: | There is an en-suite bathroom to the master bedroom with a bath (shower over), twin hand basins, toilet, bidet, large mirror and power points. The family bathroom has an enclosed shower, hand basin, toilet, bidet, large mirror and power points. |
| Kitchen: | The large kitchen is fully equipped and includes a built-in oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster and ample cupboard and worktop space. |
| Utility Room: | The utility room contains an automatic washing machine, iron, ironing board, clothes dryer and waste bin. |
| Living Rooms: | The lounge overlooks the terrace and has a 3 and a 2 seater sofa, a satellite TV, DVD player and DVDs', and air conditioning. Patio doors lead to the terrace and pool. The dining area is furnished with a dining table, 6 chairs and a hi-fi unit with CDs. |

The villa, pool and terrace will have been thoroughly cleaned prior to your arrival and are also cleaned on a weekly basis if required. Linen and towels (including beach towels) are provided. |

It would be appreciated if smoking is restricted to the terrace and garden areas.
Accessibility
Please note that the villa, pool and terrace are all on the same level but are elevated from the road and lockable entrance gate by a flight of stairs. Although this adds to the security of the villa it does mean that the villa is unfortunately not suitable for wheelchair access
Outside
The villa is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac. The 7x3 metre private pool has underwater lighting and a retractable cover. Electric pool heating is available. The terrace with views towards Papagayo and Los Coloradas to the south and the Ajaches volcanic range to the north is equipped with an extending table with 4 chairs with cushions for alfresco eating, 4 sun loungers with covers. The extensive pagoda along the front of the villa provides shade for dining and sitting. There is a small attractive mature garden.
Coast/Beach
The local Los Coloradas beach is 300 yards from the villa. The beautiful unspoilt Papagayo beaches which are situated just to the east of Las Coloradas and the main beach in Playa Blanca are both a 5 minute drive, or a 20 to 40 minute walk from the villa. The paved promenade which is approximately 5 miles in length starts 300 yards from the villa and extends to the marina, the town, the old harbour and beyond to the small beaches west of the town. It is ideal for walking and cycling.
Travel
The drive from Arrecife Airport to the villa takes approximately 30 minutes. Airport transfers can be arranged when you make a booking. A bus service (number 30) starts near the villa and can be used to reach the Rubicon Marina, The Dorada Beach and the centre of Playa Blanca. Taxis are plentiful and cheap. There are also coach tours, ferry services to Fuerventura and to the Papagayo beaches. Cars can be hired at the airport or in Playa Blanca. The roads are good and petrol is cheap.
Distances
The marina and the town both with supermarkets, shops, restaurants and bars can be reached by car or bus in under 10 minutes or by walking in 25-40 minutes. Attractions for visitors including the Papagayo National Park, Timanfaya National Park, El Golfo, Salinas de Janubio, Valle de Geria and the typical Spanish style villages of Yaiza and Femes are all within a 20 minute drive of Playa Blanca.
Further details
There are two excellent supermarkets within half a mile of the villa which will meet all your requirements. There is also a wide choice of supermarkets, shops, restaurants and bars both at the Rubicon Marina and in the town of Playa Blanca. Activities available in Playa Blanca include cycle hire, yacht hire, a sailing school, fishing trips, diving schools, tennis courts and ten pin bowling.
We have the advantage that the villa is managed by our friends, Bill & Karen, who live in Los Coloradas. They provide a 'meet and greet service' to show you to the villa, explain the facilities and can arrange transport to and from the airport if required. They are on hand if you have any questions or problems during your stay.
Information on shops, activities, places of interest, maps, etc. are available in the villa.
Booking notes
A non-refundable deposit of £100 per week is required when booking the villa. The balance is payable 8 weeks prior to the commencement of your holiday. Payments can be made in Sterling or Euros. Please state when booking if you wish to pay in Euros.
